hello lovelies i’m valen ! i’m sixteen, well i might be seventeen when you read this or maybe i’m seventeen in your timezones bcOS MY BIRTHDAY IS BASICALLY HAPPENING. anyways, my pronouns are she/her and ya girl resides in california which means my timezone is pst ! this is my mess, alicia, she’s just a lot of everything so i’ll explain stuff about her if you’d like to read below hahah !
- ̗̀ lauren jauregui, cis female, she/her ̖́- did you know that alicia melendez lives in loft #3b ? yeah, they’re that twenty one year old that moved in three years ago ! they’re known to be aplombic & tenacious but also a little bit irascible & self destructive. hope that they don’t do anything to get evicted. ( valen, she/her, pst )
‘ i grieve nothing, i take everything. ’ is definitely the number one quote that associates with alicia. she’s very selfish & unapologetic for it – she is not at all shameful for her materialistic desires and her instinct of looking out for just herself. she’s very pessimistic about human nature and believes that, at the end of the day, everyone will look out for themselves & she’s just one of the rare ones that am honest about it.
that is not to say she wouldn’t make friends or anything. after all, social skills are very important in order to seal deals in the future, or she can even exploit others’ wealth and connections for her benefit. the people she really considers her true friends, though, are those that accept her the way she is. her, in all her pessimism, materialism, greed & ambition. she appreciates those who don’t try to change her or make her a ‘better person’, because she herself is very comfortable and assured in her own skin and she doesn’t need someone else berating her. but yes, in social interactions she can come off as charming yet cold, indifferent and aloof.
that’s not to say she’s also devoid of feeling and incapable of genuinely caring for someone else ? like – she’s a complex mess & i’m struggling to explain it. alicia really has the potential to love someone if it ever came to a relationship, and she’d genuinely care and always want to see them grow to become a powerful & confident person. that’s also a thing – sometimes she sees this potential in people and takes it upon herself to help them tap into that kind of power. but only if said person has the potential to be an equal to alicia. the best example i can think of is if there’s someone who’s shy and keeps to themselves, but alicia notices they have strong opinions and leadership qualities. she’d befriend them and try to get them to speak up, but not in a nurturing, hand-holding manner – more like, wake the fuck up you’ve got something in you, you can reach for the stars. so yeah, she’s pretty observant i’d say ?
as far as her family life goes, her parents are divorced. her mother got into a car accident when alicia was very young. although alive, she suffers from memory loss & is quite unstable, plagued by memories of the crash and the fact the man she loved did not stay & help but simply re-married, leaving her to rot in some expensive hospital – and sadly, these are the only memories alicia’s mother has. alicia is not close at all to her father & her step-family (mother and two sisters, both younger). in fact, relationships are rather tense. her father expects nothing but perfection from alicia, & she just can’t ever seem to please him. she knows his opinion shouldn’t matter, but it does, and she hates that.
alicia is bisexual. her physical desires are quite strong & she’s not one to deny herself – had never been, be it material possessions or people. she does have a certain joy in going after people who are already in relationships, just for the thrill. sometimes, she even feels good about herself because she’s rooted out the cheaters – at least the relationship’s been ruined before it got terribly far, say, marriage, right ?
