okay but like paper rings is one of the most romantic songs off of lover. like hear me out okay: it’s all about loving someone for their flaws not despite them (“i want your complications too, i want your dreary mondays”). and it’s about not caring about anything else but how much and how deeply you love them (“i like shiny things but i’d marry you with paper rings”). not to mention how it’s a montage of not the big moments of a relationship but all the little ones like painting a wall and that makes it much more romantic becuase when you love someone that much, you cherish even the little moments you have together. so in conclusion: pls stop sleeping on paper rings. i rest my case.
