I’m thinking a title along the lines of ‘is this what you came for’ or ‘not what you were searching for’

Because of the way they were both looking for something else.

Owen constantly looking for Louis in everything and Shelby looking for Bigfoot not vampirism

I like the title is this what you came for. Because it is genuinely so close what the are looking for, Shelby for vampires which is in the same realm of Cryptids as big foot just not specifically what she here for, Owen isn’t looking for anything but still seeing Louis in the things around and Shelby holds the most similar morales and attitude as Louis.

I’m thinking that Lovingstake vamps actually stay hidden a while longer than the normal core four. Just err because

Owen’s more reclusive nature and Shelby’s silly and goofy behavior would let them get away with some vampiric behavior. Oh? Owen’s is being nippy and brooding, nah it just Owen’s personality. Oh? Shelby is up and about in the night, nah Shelby in the hunt for big foot. They are a little too odd as characters to get caught immediately.

I am possibly thinking of writing a lovingstake fanfic, of Shelby as the first turn. Before Owen knows of Scott’s vampirism. He turns Shelby because he likes her.

I’m not very good at writing though so it might not be the best in the world, but… I want to try.

I have to say, I'm still thinking about what if Shelby was Owen's fledgling. Because she an dPyro got a sibling bond out of it, and she wormed her way into Scott's heart after knowing him for like. A day. And Owen is alreayd fond of her and just like, I can see him being more protective of her if he'd turned her (somehow, because Scott was dead set on doing it and was nit happy when Pyro did it) and just like, with how similar she is to Louis hed definitely wanna protect her...she could've helped fix him. Give her a month.

I do crave some content of Shelby being Owen’s fledging. Its shift on the dynamics would’ve been so interesting, with Owen still technically being a fledgling himself and Scott probably still seeing her as his own because he is the oldest. Owen having the sire and fledgling bond would’ve definitely helped him through his problems cause of losing Louis, along with projecting his desperation for companionship onto a person that also longs for companionship. This man would be so protective of her like his life depended on it especially if fire was involved.
