Thoughts I had while animating under the cut

Morty needs to take two steps for every one of Rick’s in order to keep up with him. Short legs vs long long legs

Tried to capture Rick’s (lack of) energy in his walk cycle animation

Morty jumping onto Rick was partially inspired by the jump hug move from the s5 finale episode

When Rick looks at Morty unimpressed, Morty momentarily gets nervous and regrets his life choices. But then Rick rolls his eyes, smiles, and keeps walking (phew)

Rick normally would not allow this but today he’s in a less grumpy mood or smth i guess

Animating is sooo time consuming omg. this took me multiple hours everyday over the course of a week. So fun though

I was trying to find some cute Rick and Morty music for the background. Eventually landed on the song is Send Me On My Way, featured in s8e8 of Rick and Morty (the Jerry multiversal hiking episode). I was debating using the Rick and Two Crows anime theme song, but this one fit the vibe better.

yeah thats pretty much why it took me so long to get through the first and second season

i was sooooo bored 99% of the time and them martin would be briefly mentioned and i would be like OMG BABY HIIII

and then bro started getting kidnapped and it was fun, plus i started to connect the statements into entities in my brain and it was cool to figure out the separation between them

things that i notice i got from my parents. part 1

while sitting on the couch, my dad rests his elbow in the sofa's armrest and let his closed fist in the air while numbly scrolling through his phone with his free hand. it looked like his forearm was a lamp or something and i thought it was hilarious

i dont live with him anymore, im in another city for college. i just caught myself resting my elbow on the armrest and equilibrating my fist in the air just like he does

bro was so right, this shit is comfortable as fuck
