“I’m worried about you.”

That was the last thing Bofur expected to hear when he came home from the market that evening.

“Whatever for?” he asked.

Bilbo bit his lip.

“This life,” he began. “It can’t possibly be enough, can it? So far from the mountains, from your kin … Are you truly happy here, Bofur?”

Bofur’s face softened and he drew Bilbo into his arms.

“Of course I am,” he whispered fiercely, holding him tight. “This is my home, Bilbo.”

“Oh,” Bilbo said, quiet and soft. “I hadn’t realized.”

Bofur smiled and gently pressed their foreheads together. “Silly hobbit.”

But yeah I think the ship name is "Boffins" (plz correct me if I'm wrong someone) which is a cute way to meet in the middle. Honestly it should have been BoBo though- absolutely ✨inspired✨look what they could have had;

I didnt have time to digitize any of these like i wanted to tonight because i got caught up doing laundry, but here are my quick sketches for the day- including a) several bilbo expressions as I aim for consistency b) a bofur who just doesnt look right in my style and c) a concept for a post-quest bilbo in a more dwarven outfit and with burn scars

they really had to leave Bofur in town with Kili and the others cuz if he was up on that mountain and heard the dragon wake up with Bilbo down there he woulda jumped down that tunnel head first no matter what Thorin said. I know he's his king but Bofur's PROTECT BILBO instinct is simply too strong, he'd have gone feral and killed that dragon with his bare chunky dwavish hands
