"I'll probably end up paying for this because I feel bad! But right now I'm angry!"
Josephine clasped a hand to her chest, other coming to gently pat Julchen on the shoulder, as they both knelt to the floor to collect the pot cup that was in pieces. It wasnât anyoneâs fault, a pure accident, that the two had walked into each other, causing Josephine to drop her cup of coffee in the middle of the cafe.
âOh donât worry! Itâs alright- let me pay,â she offered, not knowing whether the other was angry with her, âit was an accident, you donât need to be upset.â
Julchen swallowed and kept on picking up piece after piece of broken cup. Whoops, this girl sounded like a sweetheart. She shouldnât have yelled. Reddening slightly she paused and glanced to over at the otherâs face, hesitant to look as she didnât want to have scared her. After all, she knew she could be a bit much.
âSorry. I- sorry, did I yell? Iâm not mad at you, just-â She laughed awkwardly, âStressful day. Iâll pay, donât worry!â
"You didn't yell, and even if you did, I wouldn't take offence," Josephine replied softly, crinkles forming at the corners of her eyes as she smiled, "stressful days happen to the best of us, and you can't help having accidents- I mean, I have accidents all of the time, I'm just so clumsy."
Her tone was gentle, reassuring, and as she chuckled she rose to her feet, "so please, you've no need to be sorry."
