Iāve moved!
For several different reasons, Iāve decided to start fresh on another website, which you can click here. Not sure if anyone is still on this blog since Iāve told everyone that mattered/read my blog already but in case I have loyal followers here (according to Tumblr, I do have quite a few so hello!), I thought Iād just make a post here.
Wordpress is really so much better than Tumblr when it comes to personal blogging.

GREAT FRIENDS SHARE GREAT SHIT WITH ONE ANOTHER hehehe. I really hope Syu gets a Tae poster but I half hope she gets a Jin poster so she can give it to me haha. Also, I know I haven't properly updated here for a while. To be honest, I'm not sure where I'm going with this blog. I feel way more comfortable writing physically in Cerebro (lol autocorrect literally spelled 'Cerebrospinal' what hahaha) these days. Not really sure what brought this on but yeah. It could just be a phase. Or it could not. Maybe I'll just sporadically update here. No one really knows this blog anyway and anyone close to me pretty much knows how I am/what I'm up to so I don't really see a point in updating here. I won't make the mistake of deleting the blog though (like I did with my secondary school one) cos there's a lot of memories on here - even if some of them are pretty embarrassing haha.

The other day, Leo by tacica (Iāll link it here) came on shuffle on my phone while I was taking my usual 15-minutes walk to the bus stop for school (thank God the haze has gone - hopefully for good) and I knew that it was going to be a great day.
And I was right. Nothing particularly outstanding happened that day but I just felt this undercurrent of goodnessĀ (for lack of a better word) throughout the whole day.
Amazing what the mind is able to accomplish when itās in the zone.
Iāve watched this three times already today (not consecutively) but Iām still all hearts-eye emoji over it. I should blame Syu over my growing love for BTS now hahaha who knew Iād like, let alone love, a K-pop group. Am I turning basic? Nah and I donāt care even if I am. Love whatever you love, I say :D
But seriously though, how tight is this dance practice? Sort of made me wish I could dance but thatās a miracle waiting to happen. Also, Jin (heās the slight green-haired dude)! Love his solo in this one :)
Okay, back to writing. Quite proud with how much Iāve accomplished today and Iām determined to get through a big chunk of my SEA essay before I turn in to sleep tonight :)

I swear my obsession with this show is slowly but surely growing. It might even take over from Free! as my favourite sports anime *insert closed eyes monkey emoji here*
Who knew that a show about high school volleyball would get me so hyped up? But the show is just so damn good.Ā Recurrent themes of teamwork, friendship and passion. Whoād pass that up? :D
So, the premise of the show is this. Hinata (orange-haired smol child) and Kageyama (nicknamed King of the Court) were rivals in junior high but now find themselves on the same high school team. Although they got off on a rocky start, they soon realised that their abilities together are pretty much lethal weapons in a tournament. Cue the rest of the team. They go through so many challenges before getting into the Inter-High tournament but itās all done in a light way so I usually look forward to watching an episode every night after Iām done with schoolwork. Aishah can testify to the number of times I cackled, laughed out loud or awww-ed whilst watching this show.
Each one of them are so different from one another, I love it. Usually in large cast shows like these, you tend to have difficulties differentiating one from another since thereās just way too many people. But nope. Didnāt happen for me in this show. Like even though Kageyama and Hinata are so-called the main characters, I feel like thereās an even mix of dialogue for each character, especially in the later episodes.
The AMV features the climax of the show - their match against Aoba Johsai (also known as Seijoh), one of the powerhouse schools in their prefecture. I think the creators spent 7 episodes just on this match alone, which might seem like a lot but so many things happened during those 7 episodes, I didnāt feel like it was a drag at all. The dynamics between Oikawa Tooru (Seijohās setter) and Kageyama is just so fascinating to watch. Canāt wait to binge watch Season 2 once itās complete (itās currently airing but going from Tumblrās reaction, I need to brace myself for the feels)!
Also, I looooove the guy who voices Sugawara (silver-haired fox second setter). His voice is just so smooth and soothing hehe.Ā

So, yesterday, in class, I was catching up on blog posts by one of my favourite authors V.E. Schwab (as you do) and this article sort of made my whole day (even though my night was ruined by horrible customer service, but we shanāt get into that here)

Iāve always unconciously known that Iām not a writer. Donāt get me wrong, I love books and the written word. But Iām more a purveyor of books (right use?) rather than creating them myself. I JUST LOVE WORDS. They fascinate me; how scratches on a piece of paper (or stone, if you want to go that far back) holds meaning and how putting them in different positions in a sentence changes everything. I do see myself as a book editor but seriously I wonāt mind any job in the book industry. Heck, I think I could be a great member of a marketing team at a publishing house. The life of a book editor sounds really interesting and Iām sure thereās tough challenges, as every job does, but knowing that every day wonāt be the same is just amazing.
Ā I think thatās why I want to try out journalism first when I graduate in May. I just canāt imagine myself in a 9 to 5 job that is day in and day out the same routine. I mean yeah routine has its benefits but some variety would enrich you, you know?
(Also, I changed my masthead photo on this blog! Tokyo is currently the dream now and hopefully I can find some friends who want to go with. Interested applicants, come find me pls :P)
A very good friend of mine shared this with me a couple of days ago when I was feeling a little bit down and overwhelmed by all the things that are expected of me in the next few weeks. So, I thought Iād share it here. Who knows if it could help anyone else?
I love this guy. Heās such an unconventional choice for a university speaker but the things he says I believe are so true and #relatable hahaha. But seriously though. I did feel a lot motivated after watching this :) Also got me wondering, who does NUS usually pick for commencement speakers? Hopefully they arenāt boring.Ā
