So we know that Jotaro is inclined to shoulder every burden on his own, he considers everything to be his responsibility and often rejects even offers of help because he is used to dealing with things alone.   We also know that Jotaro doesn’t bother to actively express himself because he assumes that other people can already tell what he’s thinking and feeling.   What if these are related? Like, say he’s feeling sad, and he assumes that other people can tell - but nobody tries to comfort him or anything.   He’d grow up thinking it’s normal for other people to ignore your emotions, further normalizing for him that one doesn’t need to actively express them.  And further normalizing that he has to work through their own problems alone, without asking for help.   And he doesn’t think twice about that because it’s what always has happened throughout his life (except with his mom, who can ACTUALLY tell what he’s thinking). I mean, given that he still thinks other people can tell what he’s feeling, even though people often don’t react to his emotions, he MUST just think that’s normal.
