LAST BOOK I READ
Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly by Anthony Bourdain (which I technically listened to but I hope it counts anyway). It was a somewhat unexpected choice cause I am usually not a big fan of memoirs, nor am I a particularly big foodie- but I really wanted something about the nitty-gritty of the restaurant business cause the last season of The Bear gave me a terrible hangover. It turned out to be a terrific, entertaining read and I honestly had the best time with it
A BOOK I’D RECOMMEND
I don't think there is one book on Earth that would work for everyone, BUT. Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak was genuinely one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had as a reader - this is the book that truly rewards patience and unfolds beautifully in the end. So I can honestly say it is really worth your time
BOOK I COULDN’T PUT DOWN
If I had to be honest - I think I read the last 300 pages of Jilly Cooper's Rivals without pausing for even a second. I love Rutshire Chronicles, this is such a fun, trashy series. I also sat down and read the entirety of Koniec świata, umyj okna (It's the end of the world - wash the widows) by Agnieszka Jelonek in one sitting cause it is the most faithful depiction of my particular brand of anxiety that I have ever seen in fiction

I am also re-reading A Song of Ice and Fire by George R R Martin about every 2 years to reopen the wound of never getting to read its conclusion.

Kaz takes a deep breath. "Will your niece be there?" he asks. Why should he waste time fretting over Inej? Let her do whatever she's going to do. It's none of Kaz's concern.

my worst habit as a writer is that i lovveeeeee to expand on families as character and worldbuilding but then i have to sit here like. is there any possible way for me to introduce "has an aunt whos a postal worker and single mother trying to bounce back from a recent divorce' into the narrative. can i naturally drop my aunt lore. its important to me.

sometimes u headcanon a character as a sexuality but then also ship things that contradict that. sometimes you ship things you would NEVER EVER want in canon. this is because these things are fun and silly and not legally binding.
