In response to your response: so you are comparing being a member of the LGBT* community- which is something one cannot choose, but are born as... to being overweight- which is generally the result of choices to do with lifestyle? (discounting illness) ... they're not comparable.

I am both queer and fat. There are people who choose both of these things. I did not choose either, but am content with both. I think they are comparable, and I have more reason to know than you do.

And, by the way, we have a massive amount of evidence linked to from this blog that shows that, in fact, most people have no choice about being fat.
