About the “Modi glazing propaganda” allegations levied against Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar —
First of all people need to understand that the first movie itself establishes the chain of events that describes the hawala system, counterfeit currency rackets that were largely operated thru Pakistan and the second movie shows the natural consequences of demonetisation on this system as well as the reasons behind demonetisation itself.
Secondly, it is no secret that Modi is highly disliked amongst the Pakistani media and establishment, we have heard them bitch about him and moan about his wins a lot. They literally wanted congress to come back to power, thats how desperate they were. (Now I don’t need to explain to Indians how a hostile nation hating a leader yall picked is a good thing for your country cuz I don’t think my fellow people are so dumb, not all are lik Dhruv Rathee and chelas. Thank god for that.) so I don’t know why some of these people are so up in the arms about the dialogues thrown around by the Pakistani characters in the movie about Modi.
Don’t fucking tell me you didn’t expect the next part to show demonetisation when the first part literally was alluding to the natural progression of events after setting up the plot for that?!
Hawala system is a reality, counterfeit currency rackets exist and demonetisation did happen. It’s just facts, unless you have an issue wid facts idk what the prblm is here tbh. We can argue all day about the intricacies of whether the entire thing was as successful or not but the movie is literally not about that.
People need to stop acting like propaganda never existed in Bollywood. We literally had movies glorifying Pakistani ISI, literally a terrorist organisation masquerading as an intelligence organisation from a nation that doesn’t even hesitate before making nuclear threats against our country.
