All of the Ryan Gosling Movies.

All of them.

That’s what I named the folder on my notes app when I started this descent into madness.

I have since seen 16 movies in the last week and I feel like I don’t know what any other man looks like.

It all started as a joke. I saw the video on YouTube of a guy watching all of the movies and I thought “haha. I’d never do that”

And then I watched The Notebook

And then The Barbie Movie

And La La Land

It was when I got to Lars and the Real Girl where I realized I was in too deep. I needed to commit. I didn’t have a choice, I felt the movies calling to me. All twenty nine of them.

Anyways. I decided to give myself homework and actually rank the movies and also look into his character in each movie. It’s so unserious, as a warning. But I wanted to know some things like:

Is he put into situations?

Or

Is he pathetic?

And

Is he objectified?

The only movies I had seen him in were really “he is a hot man/love interest” up until Project Hail Mary so I was curious.

I plan to post my completely unhinged findings but this needed an introduction.

I feel like the YouTubers that went to all of the Rainforest Cafes and Margaritavilles. 16 movies in and the only thing on my mind is Ryan Gosling and his stupid face. I thought I had face blindness but I could certainly point this man out in a crowd by now. I took a nap today and he was in my dreams!

I’m in too deep to stop. I’m having too fun. Doesn’t mean I’m not going a little crazy.

Hope anybody reading this is just as amused as I am, more to come soon. I’ve got 16 movies to post about!

I love the idea of Rocky building the xenonite suit a few months after they get to Erid and going up to visit Grace in orbit as a surprise and he goes through this awful perpetually guilty scary triggering learning curve of figuring out how much strength he can safely use on which parts of the ship and Grace, and he's constantly apologising and hovering when he accidentally presses too hard, and all through this Grace (touch-starved, delirious, suffering zoochosis, dangerously understimulated), is trying to find a way to ask if Rocky can break a few of his bones without being put on alien suicide watch.
