hey so i fucking hate ai and i think every mention of ai makes me remember that more and more!!

does anyone else remember when ai was "LOL how could anyone fall for this?!" and now it's not just our parents and grandparents falling for it, but young adults and teenagers falling for it?!

we're the same demographic who said we'd NEVER fall for it and here we are.

Does anyone else remember the bunny trampoline & how many people fell for it??

I personally didn't fall for that one, but there's been so much more that I've had to triple check for signs of AI or even just run through an AI detector.

I think the worst case of this is with youtube videos and descriptions. There has been times where I've been watching youtube and something has seemed off, so I listen very carefully, and it's ai. I check the description, and it's 100% ai.

I just miss when the internet was authentic. I miss when the only form of bots online were spam bots occasionally commenting on posts or sending you dumb/weird emails.

I miss human creativity and I miss humanity's internet

i literally do not watch new youtube channels because of that. I have my old staples i know don't do Ai.

Pleased to report that after a day of this i am not longer craving caper brine and my mouth is not dry as usual. There's some good suggestions in the notes too that I want to try.

So I saw some people remarking that they didn't understand why "liberals" are focusing on the disaster of the Reflecting Pool paint job, and ok so when you see stuff like that, I need you to remember we are dealing with a wannabe strongman. Anything that makes him look ineffectual, wasteful, and incredibly stupid-- you get that between your teeth and you don't let go. Especially *especially* when it involves laughing at him.

Does every Canvas like site have to have AI in it- is it a requirement.

You search for ones without it and google won't show you the sites that don't have it- it's like the words No and Without are ignored because you added the word AI when you want sites that don't have it.

I use Canvas for photo wallpapers, book covers and collages but I want a site that doesn't have AI in it- even if you click out of all the AI stuff it's like-I wanted to make a collage of some picrews but I don't feel comfortable with the Ai- I wish it would go away forever.

I HATE AI HOLY SHIT. I just saw a woman post that she FORGOT HER OWN DAUGHTER’S NAME. And she went to ChatGPT about it and the stupid clanker validated her and told her that was ok. It’s not ok to forget your child’s name. Idc how young they are.

Ai “art” sucks also. “Oh it helps people with disabilities” “oh what if I don’t want to draw” first of all, there are millions of absolutely amazing disabled artists and to discredit their work and say everyone should just have a machine spit out emotionless slop for them is frankly disgusting and horribly dystopian. Second, picrews??? Dress up games??? Hell, Gacha life??? No???

There is genuinely no justification for generative ai. It’s grotesque and dystopian. It’s horrible for the environment and all it’s doing is harm. Fuck Ai and fuck anyone who supports ai.

It's funny how in the last couple of years several major social media platforms have quietly removed "this user appears to be a bot" from the list of valid reasons to report a post on their abuse forms. I wonder what might have have motivated that particular change.

Remove immunity and require each officer to carry insurance. The more fucked up the department the higher their insurance and individually it swings further based on claims.

oh gurl, you don't know the half of it. I remember 90s tabloid with headline my new neighbour is from Chernobyl and her baby has a tail! It was a poorly assembled collage of a baby's body with an ape's face and a lemur's tail all xeroxed into -100 contrast, people put effort of cutting clippings (granted with a rusty pair of scissors) but it counts
