people who cling to fanon and/or never read the source material are almost impressive to me in a way. i’m so terrified of being wrong, i’ve read a fair amount of kon’s source material and i still do not consider myself knowledgeable on it. it makes me a little nervous to talk about kon with other fans because i’m perpetually afraid of being incorrect. and yet. you guys are just. yappin’ away out there about “connor luthor” all the time. that’s a bravery i’ll never have

It depends on a fandom for me...

For example, I've read only "Firestars' quest" special and yet i love yapping about warriors fandom...

And there is another fandom... I have not near a full vision about source material and don't like talking with other fans about it since I don't want to show my ignorance
