Liam is the eldest child of Niamh and Mark. Clever, outspoken, and protective of his family, he inherited his father’s cold streak alongside his mother’s dry humor. Though generally friendly, Liam is known for his attitude and can be suspicious of anyone he feels is upsetting or crowding his family, especially his mother or younger sister. Once calling the farmer, "Farmer Homewrecker" for giving his mother too mamy loved gifts. He enjoys fishing, exploring the island, and helping Mark whenever he can.
Keelie is the younger child of Niamh and Mark. She is largely nonverbal and prefers expressing herself through gestures, humming, and physical affection. She enjoys spending time near the shoreline collecting shells and watching the ocean. Though shy around strangers, Keelie is a very kind girl and gets along well with the other island kids.
I made a full NPC concept for Coral Island in lieu of the update coming out this month.
Complete with schedules, heart events, dialogue, unlockable shop items, branching relationship outcomes, and a storyline tied to the Merfolk Kingdom!

I've been playing it since the early access days in 2022. It's honestly my favorite farming sim game, and I've played the OG Harvest Moon games and Stardew Valley. I still prefer Coral Island over them any day.
I have this disease known as inability to remember how I fucking did that. Cool art style I achieved? No idea how to recreate it ever again, no clue what steps I took to get there. Baking went well? You are never tasting something that good or good at all from me again. Poetic writing? I've actually suddenly forgotten how to read. I don't know, I just don't know
My characters Prince Linden and Thimble from the children's novel I'm (also) working on. It's meant for ages 12 and up. I'm afraid some of its content would scare the younger kids.
Think Arrietty meets Fairies but with a Don Bluth edge. It'll have that darker, more emotionally resonant storytelling. Out of all my projects, I think this one has the most potential to get on Netflix. I'd like to make that happen someday.
I'm definitely not a pixel artist lol. But this was as close to the games art style as I could get! 😅

Personality✨️
Warm as the summer sun and twice as radiant, Aurelie's a bright-hearted farmer whose boundless affection can soften even the hardest soil or the hardest heart. Endlessly optimistic and a little starry-eyed, she believes there’s beauty in every sprout and goodness in every soul. Underneath her fluttering skirts and laughter hides a strength most folks don’t expect, she could hoist a piano over her head without breaking a sweat (though she’d blush furiously if anyone stared). She often worries that she’s too much or too strong for her own good.
Appearance✨️
She’s a vision of loveliness with long, wavy purple hair that spills past her waist, often escaping in soft tendrils around her face. Warm, expressive eyes and a shy, knowing smile give her an inviting almost dreamy charm. Aurelie wears a loose, white checked blouse tucked into a fitted corset that hints at her hidden strength, while delicate earrings and a ribbon in her hair add a touch of sweetness. Her outfits are based off the 90s fashion. Though she looks dainty, there’s an understated sturdiness in the way she carries herself, like she could cradle a kitten one moment and hoist a hay bale the next.
Story✨️
No one quite knows where she came from. Aurelie wandered into town after being alone in the woods, drawn by a feeling she couldn’t name. Balor found her half-starved but smiling, insisting she was perfectly fine. She hints, in that dreamy way of hers, that her father might be the legendary wizard Archemedes. But she can’t say for sure, because most of her memories are a blur she doesn’t like to talk about. For someone so sweet (and a little odd,) Aurelie's an unnervingly skilled monster hunter, though she’d much rather tend her garden or help a neighbor in need than harm a living thing.
Aurelie hates Ritual Beads and will react negatively upon receiving them as a gift. Hinting to her possible past.
Dialogue from receiving the Ritual Beads: " Don't bring those near me, Player! I won't wear them. I'm sorry but...I can't. I won't!"
Relationships✨️
Aurelie lives alone in her little cottage. There is only a cat, chickens, and some sheep on her farm. She spends most of her time with Caldarus. His smile makes her feel safe. Her closest friends are Eiland, Olric, and Celine as she gets along best with them. She's determined to befriend March. The more he fights it, the harder she tries.
