I just want to take a moment to talk about Luongo. For those of you who have been following me for along time but don't recognize my username, I used to be greatsavebyluongo.

I knew that one day, Roberto Luongo was going to retire. I just didnt think that day would come so soon. I wanted him to win the Stanley Cup. So bad. I know everyone wishes that about their favourite player. Despite the fact that he wasnt able to get a Stanely Cup, it doesn't diminish his other accomplishments. He's a goalie with the third most wins of all time, he's a two time gold medalist and he's played 19 amazing seasons of hockey. An amazing career and definitely HoF worthy, don't you think?

So, thank you, Roberto Luongo. For being the reason I came to love the sport of hockey. For everything. It was a delight watching you play and I wish you nothing but the best on this next journey in your life. It was an honor being your fan.
