I really like the color purple (you may have already noticed), reading (especially fantasy), writing (I wrote and published a book), found families, astrophysics, anime, feminism, cupcakes, fanfiction, animation, computer science, musicals, my friends, and purple.

I absolutely hate it when people see a positive character and say they're not nuanced or complex. "Oh, so your favorite character thinks the world isn't a total dump? Boring. Already seen. Zero personality."

People can be optimistic, positive, and altruistic and still have nuance or complexity. You don't have to be a self-centered cynic to have character. In fact, I think it's wonderful that there are still characters we can look up to and who make us believe in the good in the world. I think characters who have seen horror and still see beauty are much more complex than you think.
