any advice for the vultures and other birds of prey?

you're getting activities and snacks for vultures! (/nm i just didnt notice the "other birds of prey" bit when i was doing this)

activities:

nesting (very general, i know.)

depending on the type/breed, rock climbing or tree climbing (please be safe with that!)

running (mostly in forests) to imitate flying without needing anything extra

snacks:

just going to brush off the obvious, beef/jerky, beefstake mushroom if you need an alternative

generally just anything really tough/chewy...

^ i think laffy taffy would work if you want something sweet..

can i have some (carnivorous) theropod dinosaur advice? specifically spinosaurus and/or utahraptor

im giving you mostly activities because there isnt really anything for (specific) dinosaurs and i dont wanna sit and say "haha eat meat because they're a carnivore!! eat salad because they're a herbivore!!"

but if you want that..?:

jerky/meat

^ beefstake mushroom as an alternative

fish (from spinosaurus)

general:

wearing anything with sequins (if you wanna get dramatic about scales)

or leather, pretty sure that's more likely to have more accurate colors

spinosaurus:

swimming & diving (because they are surprisingly good at that!)

fishing (^ related)

try visiting any beaches (they're known for living in tidal flats, and im not sure if anyone really lives near mangrove forests)

utahraptor:

nesting (..maybe a little weird, but they had good post nesting care)

practicing stealth (moving slowly, hiding, etc, because they're ambush predators instead of pursuit predators)

Vent about body mods.

Ok so i REALLY want digi legs, but no just trick of the eye padding digi, i want my legs surgically modified to walk like an animal. But that’s “not medically possible” and “it’ll permanently disable you” SO??? I’m already disabled, and having MY legs back would make me so much happier, but nooooo.

i haven't been really doing anything with this blog because I've been going through sm shit for a while and then just procrastinated

im so so sorry to anyone who sent anything in that hasn't gotten responded to but its very likely that this blog will not continue updating.

i apologize sincerely but I'm tired of the 34 inbox hanging over my heard like a storm cloud.

to all the other mods: you guys don't need to do anything on this blog anymore if you don't want to, do wtv you want but I really hope you don't feel obligated to continue posting in my absence.

this may be one of the last posts on this account, unless I start this back up in the summer

there are tons of other (v helpful) advice blogs and confessionals on here as well I don't know their exact names but they're out there

I don’t suppose you have any tips for simulating the sensation of wings on your back? Especially tips that can be used in public spaces? These phantom sensations are driving me up a wall.

Also do you know if there’s a generally accepted term for winged humanoids? I’m getting kinda sick of having to call myself winged humanoid kin.

answering this ask out of order because I have an immediate response due to me being winged.

I generally would recommend something like straps you can put under clothes to have the feeling of something on your back. (like thick elastic) , if you dont mind something visable something heavier like a bookbag to simulate the weight of wings. also ponchos and/or jackets ties around your shoulders !!

I generally use "avian" to describe beings winged, and that can vary from only winged to having feathered / more bird-like features

Any activities and snacks for homunculuskin (specifically Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood homunculi)?

I had to research homunculi as I didnt know what they were , so I apologize if this isnt accurate to you !

homunculi assist in/make other beings, you could make other beings out of air dry clay or other forms of clay

as theyre intended to be assistants, you could apply for modding positions in online spaces

Fullmetal alchemist wise (from what I found) are based on the seven deadly sin, whichever you are you could journal thoughts relating to that

full metal alchemist homunculi dont need to eat, but they do consume red stones. for the red aspect you can eat things like strawberrys, red gummies, cherries, for the hard stone aspect you can have suckers/lolipops

this was semi hard to find stuff for , but youre free to ask for more and I can look for more !

Hello!! So I'm not sure if it counts, but I'm made of static? Like tv/radio static. Do you have any advice relating to that? (Also, your blog is really neat!)

hi ! statickin sounds really cool :D

I can reccomend scratchy clothing, to mimic the feeling of what static sounds/looks like

haze-y themed make up, fuzzy black eye shadow on your undereye that expands out to your cheeks

clothing wise, static isnt completely black and white , sometimes theres specks of other color; incorporate little keychains and accessories that give sparks of color to your outfits

tv static tends to be associated with older tvs or devices, try incorporating older styles ! stuff like 90s themed

static is caused by picking up signals wrong, if you have over ear headphones you could add antennas (like an older TV or radio would have) on a pair of headphones, or alternatively a headband

fizzy drinks, fizzy foods (pop rocks !!) could imitate the feeling of being static

i don't mean to invalidate anyone looking for advice but I genuinely cannot keep up anymore

each ask (+ the research needed to make it helpful/accurate) takes around 10-20 min, and theres a back log of 37 as of posting this

so in total that's around 370 min MINIMUM to get through everything and re-open the blog

and 370 min is more than 6 hrs straight of doing nothing but asks w/ no breaks

im rly not trying to invalidate anyone or complain but that's the main reason I haven't posted in awhile-i just genuinely don't have any motivation

can i have some advice for like idk a barren ground caribou?

ofc!

pratice taking long walks or hikes if you're able, not just because "g-go outside!!" but barren ground caribou can migrate around 750 miles per season

barren ground caribou have a very diverse diet, so try eating this like fish, eggs, and seaweed (as a edible substitute for lichen, caribou's main food source) if you can

im sry to default to "wear clothes that look like ur kin type" but there really isn't that much info to be found, and barren ground caribou have a relatively distinct coat pattern- you can get coats with a fluffy hood so that it looks kinda like ur neck fluff when you aren't wearing it

sry if I couldn't be of much help w/ this

ofc! once again, sorry it took so long to get to you

build a nest out of blankets + pillows

go birdwatching

try going biking/learning how to ride a bike! I don't know how myself, but I've heard it feels like flying

a lot of avians are known to collect little trinkets and stuff, so feel free to set up a collection

similarly, there's many birds that weave their nests, so try learning how to sew, crochet, and/or knit

go to a trampoline park!

use a blanket/shawl/cloak to mimic wings

as always, everything is optional

add more fish (esp salmon) and shellfish to your diet if you'd like!

try going to the beach if you live near one, or the pool if you don't.

sea salt spray! sea salt spray is a hair product supposed to make your hair fluffy but it also smells like salt. you can make it at home using a spray bottle (ideally smt like a perfume bottle kinda??? or smt like that), sea salt, warm water, shampoo and/or coconut oil, and you can also add conditioner if you'd like

go fishing! (if you can)

that's all I could think of for now, sorry if its kinda limited
