People change. That boy you loved freshmen year has probably changed for the better, and now realizes the mistakes he made with you. That girl who you used to call your best friend is probably doing better than she ever has before, and it hurts knowing that you can’t be a part of that. That boy you used to spend all summer talking to probably has a girlfriend now, and he doesn’t remember the cute messages you used to send him when he was feeling low. That girl in your math class that was deeply in love with that one douche bag has probably already left him, and is looking back at all the times she defended him when she should’ve been defending herself instead. She’s stronger now. That boy you dated sophomore probably has his arm around another girl even though he promised you a future with him, and no one else. People change. But you, I didn’t expect you to change your mind. I didn’t expect you to leave me the way you did. I didn’t expect you to treat me the way you did those last few weeks. I didn’t expect you to change, not you, never you. But you changed, because that’s what people do. People change.
I never planned on you changing your mind. (via itzonlyyoubabe)
