adult life is truly just thinking “I NEED TO CLEAN” while dealing with the 17 other things that have a hard deadline
The way secularists/liberal Christians have twisted Jesus’ message of “don’t judge” into meaning he was this cuddly, morality-is-subjective kind of guy who was totes okay with people doing whatever they wanted instead of it being that he was stressing we should focus on our own sins instead of acting blameless while we condemn others is so, so aggravating.
I’d also like to point out that it also had a sort of “hey guys, be aware that if you judge, you better not be hypocritical about it” sentiment. Scripture also tells us that whoever lets his brother live in sin is responsible for his damnation. So when people say “Only God can judge me,” I typically respond with “I know. That’s why I’m warning you.”

I can hide my heart, and my past, and my future plans, from those around me, but I cannot hide anything from God. I can talk in a way that deceives my fellow creatures as to what I really am, but nothing I say or do can deceive God. He sees through all my reserve and pretense; he knows me as I really am, better indeed than I know myself.
J.I. Packer, Knowing God
Read lots of poetry. Read sad poetry, happy poetry, serious poetry, silly poetry. Read some that rhyme and some that don’t. Read some that you’ll understand and some you won’t. Soak it all in and let it help you grow, grow, grow. Then write your own.

Sometimes I just rest in the fact that God loves me because that is enough. Jesus is enough.
