what the hell is going on in this country?!
Well damn
Shit has been bad for a while
Right so this lady was smart, if you’re ever in a sedan-style trunk there’s a little pull tab that you can use to get yourself out that is STANDARD in cars built after 2001. It’s the law just like headlights and seatbelts.
if you are in an SUV style vehicle or newer model car you may be able to find the automatic trunk release wire, pull on it, it will pop the trunk
if you can’t find any of that stuff, look for the brake light housing. You will need to pull back the trunk carpeting and feel about. It’s probably bolted in, but some careful wiggling will dislodge it. If people see a goddamn arm waving out of a hole in a car while they poke along I-95 they likely will do something about it
Reblog to save a life….
I was about to explain that handle myself. I did in the past and was told I have a sick since of humor for saying it helps to serve as an escape method in kidnappings.
Some of them even glow in the dark for easier finding.

HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS 2002, dir. Chris Columbus
The character Harry potter is 36. People who are 32 were in the exact age range to match Harry as the books were being published, they probably grew up with it and it was probably important to them if they’re still talking about their Hogwarts house. Being an adult doesn’t have to be a joyless slog of work and taxes, you’re allowed to continue enjoying your childhood interests, and playing make believe as an adult is a perfectly respectable pastime.
*banging pots and pans together*
People are allowed to enjoy things! People are allowed to critically engage in problematic content! People are allowed to be nostalgic for their childhood joys! It costs you $0 to not be a dick!
see, when people go the level of that one asshole who spraypainted the deathly hallows symbol on a 4000 year old tomb, then yeah that person needs to grow the fuck up.
but calling yourself one of the house names like, isn’t gonna kill anyone.
No one tells sports fans “You’re not a football fan, you’re 32″ despite sports being an even bigger part of childhood
My grandmother was nearing her 50’s when Harry Potter came out. She’s also a superfan, and if it wasn’t for her then I never would’ve gotten into Harry Potter. Harry Potter is for everyone!

Reblog if you are an alpha woman who are unable to love, you support alpha women who are unable to love, or you just laughed really hard at the article title
I don’t even have to look at the article to know that “unable to love” translates as “won’t sacrifice their hopes, goals and sense of self for useless men who wouldn’t raise a finger to help them” and “unwilling to set themselves on fire for the sake of warming others.”
“Women are learning to prioritize themselves and it’s going to destroy society, probably”
I’m a lesbian who loves women who love & prioritize themselves so this new breed works for me.
An Invitation
Characters/Pairings: Severus/Hermione, Violet Snape (OC) Summary: Severus and Hermione have settled into the quietest life they can following the end of the Second Wizarding World. They own a little business and live in their cottage with their daughter Violet. An invitation for a holiday may stir things up a bit, but who says that has to be a bad thing?
Rating: Mature (Suggestive Themes) Word Count: 2125
“Bloody bird,” Severus mumbled as he tried to straighten his now crinkled daily prophet. His lips curled downward as the owl shook its head and tried to steady itself; the letter had planted itself firmly in a stick of softened butter, “You’d think after all this time the Weasley’s would have invested in a halfway decent messenger by now.” His distaste for the family or at least their expansive brood went back years and years to Bill’s early years at Hogwarts. It was mostly harmless.
Hermione hid her smile by turning back to the stove, stirring the morning’s porridge as she added a flavor changing serum to liven it up a bit. She’d never say it aloud, but she somewhat enjoyed her husband’s jealousy towards her high school sweetheart. Ron had been on Snape’s last nerve from the first day of their first year - being friends with Harry didn’t help his cause. But the few years post-war and post-Hogwarts when she and Ron still dated - he’d clearly detested him the most.
She’d had no idea Severus fancied her at all until the first Order reunion after the breakup. She’d been single all of a month. He’d approached her straight away, which seemed a bit odd at the time. Even more odd was later in the evening when he’d asked her to dance. She sighed happily at the thought of dancing with him. His long legs and smooth movements, his quiet confidence.
“Oh Papa, Errol’s a good bird, just a bit clumsy,” Violet leaned far over the table, having to kneel in her chair as she stroked the greying birds feathers. She offered him a bit of her scone. The bird gently nibbled her fingers, causing her to giggle and her eyes to flash purple. She plucked the letter from the butter, her tiny hands careful as she used her napkin to wipe the mess from the envelope, “See, all’s well, Papa,”
She waved as Errol nearly missed the open window, flying off.
He held out his hand as Violet clammored over the chairs around the table to him. She placed the letter in his waiting palm as she stood on a chair next to him. She craned her neck to see the letter.
“It’s for you,” He said, reading the greeting line, recognizing Molly Weasley’s flowy penmanship. He held the letter behind him as Hermione plucked it from his fingers.
“Oh, how sweet. Molly wants us to come for a holiday. I’d imagine they have all sorts of room in the new burrow with everyone grown and gone. What do you think, Sev? Fancy a drive out into the countryside?” She smirked knowing his thoughts by now. He’d stare off and remind her that apparition was far more convenient than her fossil fuel driven muggle contraption. She’s retort with a defence that it was only mentioned in a cliche’d manner.
“Papa, Papa, Papa, can we go??” Violet now climbed in his lap, her tiny legs with their pointy, jabby knees digging into his thigh as she ascended his tall form, “We ‘aven’t seen Aunt Molly in ages,” She begged, trying not to facetiously pout. Her curly black pigtails bounced as she attempted to contain her squirm of excitement.
His sigh almost sounded annoyed, though both girls knew it was his last line of resistance before he’d give in.
“Will that daft git, Ronald, be there?” He picked his paper back up and shook it to straighten the creases; Violet turned in his lap to read along with him, laying her head back against his chest.
“Doubtful,” Hermione was doing a poor job of hiding her amusement. She placed the bowls on the table, joining them now. She creamed and sugared Violet’s bowl before preparing her own, “He’s travelling with a regional Quidditch team as an alternate. Likely Molly misses the din of people around. That’d be my guess for the invite.” She bit the corner off her toast as his dark eyes peered over the top of his paper to meet hers. Though it was covered by the rest of the Daily Prophet, she knew he held a sour countenance.
“I know you’d rather not be particularly social, but it might be nice to holiday. Just a few days?” She appealed to him with a bit of a compromise from the week long stay Molly had offered.
“Papa, we can get some shrivelfigs! Aunt Molly has that lovely grove in the back. I bet there’s lots of good ingredients we could get for the laboratory!” Violet might have been just a small girl, barely the age of five, but she was clever and intuitive - she knew how to persuade her father in a way that didn’t make him feel taken advantage of, but rather part of the advantageous.
“I suppose there are worse places to take our holiday -” He waited longer than necessary to affirm his participation, “Will the store be properly staffed?” He questioned Hermione, laying his paper down once more. Violet looked back and forth between her parents.
“As if I hadn’t already considered that,” Hermione cocked an eyebrow as she pointed Violet to her seat. She wriggled from her father’s lap, but didn’t once take her concentration from the conversation, “We were due for some time away from the apothecary, so I’d already filled any vacancies.”
“Put your napkin over your jumper, little miss,” Severus said just before she was about to blindly scoop a heaping spoonful. She tucked a napkin into her neckline, protecting the green velvet jumper, covering the silvery embroidered ‘V’, “We could use a bit of countryside,”
Hermione knew that was as close to an affirmative answer she’d wrangle from her husband.
“Yaaay!!!” Violet cheered, flinging her spoon in her pumping fists. The porridge on it sailed through the air, landing on her father’s freshly pressed clothing. Luckily his cloak was still hanging by the door, but his trousers and black buttoned coat had a less lucky fate. Violet went wide eyed, covering her gaping mouth with her hand. Hermione’s eyes widened as well, but her hand concealed a smile of amusement more so than a gasp of shock. With Violet being so young and unable to legally practice magical spells, they did a number of things without them. Occasionally they would teach her something or user a bit of magic here and there, but in this moment, Hermione could see that he wanted to whip out his wand and clean the soiled garment, but her eyes warned him not to. He pursed his lips the way he always did that made the corners almost curl upwards.
“I’m sorry, Papa…” Violet seemed apprehensive, worried she might draw scorn. But as always, Severus remained calm with her - Hermione was often amazed at his even temperament when it came to raising their child. She’d witnessed many times where his patience was thin at best and his temper short-fused.
“Violet, you must remember to be aware of yourself and your actions,” He tried brushing away the mess, but the black cloth shown stains all to obviously, “I ought to change again,” His own napkin snapped to the table as he stood. The chair legs scooted against the floor. He glanced back at his daughter whose eyes flashed purple again behind the welled up tears, “I don’t care for this shirt much, anyway,” He did not smile but there was a subtle wink as he excused himself. Hermione wasn’t even sure he really had until the tender smile on her daughter’s face gave him away.
“Finish up and go collect your books, it’s almost time for school,” Hermione ushered her daughter to finish breakfast. She finished the last few bites of her own before excusing herself from the table as well.
Severus hadn’t been particularly thrilled with the idea of his child attending a muggle primary school. It took quite a bit of coaxing and outright bribery to win over his agreement.
“Who’d have ever thought that a five-year-old girl would have Severus Snape wrapped around her tiny little pink painted finger?” Hermione teased Severus as she entered their bedroom. He was unbuttoning the sleeves of his shirt, stone faced as ever. Though she teased, she still approached him, starting to unbutton the main division of his coat.
“I could imagine you’re somewhat jealous of that fact. So many men are similarly taken with their wives while you lose out to a toddler.” His sarcasm and satire were always so dry and subtle that a less keen ear wouldn’t have picked up on them. But after all this time, Hermione had learned much about being in the affections of Severus Snape. He was clever and funny, but in his own unique fashion. You had to work to understand him and not react with too much impulse. His rapport was challenging and its what Hermione needed to stay engaged and interested.
They were far more of a pair than either of them (or any one else on Earth for that matter) had imagined.
“I’m not worried about my place in this family, not one bit,” She replied with a confidence that matched his wit, “I’m not easily threatened, darling,” Her words sounded sweet, but they were equally venomous.
“Oh?” He cocked his eyebrow, his eyes darting towards their bedroom door, barely cracked open, “Are you also not easily…” His hand slid behind her neck, snaking up into her hair as he grabbed a handful of her curly mane, “manipulated?” He titled her head back as that small gasp escaped her lips. She had to steady her body by pressing into his. His chest and torso were bare as his shirts hung open.
“If I recall correctly, you respond rather well to being told e x a c t l y what to do,” His voice quieted - he leaned forward, letting his hot breath and lips graze the exposed arc of her neck, “In fact, I bet if I slip my hand down your knickers I’ll find a soaking wet cunt desperate for,” he purposefully stunted his words, his eyes drinking in every feature, every instinctual reaction of her body, “Satisfaction,”
“You think so?” She tried to sound contrary, but she struggled, “Cocky sod, aren’t you…”
A chuckled hummed in his throat; that sound alone could obliviate her knickers in an instant.
“I like it when your feisty,” He released her hair and the two stood toe to toe, breath to breath reveling in their own sexual tension.
“I’m ready!!” Violet’s cheery voice called from down the stairs and Hermione tried to unflush her cheeks.
“Perhaps when you return from dropping Violet off, we could start our own little holiday a bit early,” He suggested, his finger tip tracing the line of her lower lip. She’d grown into such an incredibly attractive and desirable witch of a woman. He couldn’t believe how often he was compelled to touch her.
Hermione smirked, kissing the tip of his finger before suckling it, letting her tongue slowly and lazily swirl around it.
“Perhaps when I get back, Professor Snape might feel like putting a naughty little school girl in her place…” She suggested before kissing his lips softly and retreating from their room to leave him with that thought.
She’d been surprisingly open to being sexually adventurous with him; for them roleplaying wasn’t entirely taboo, but considering he had been her professor, this was maybe a little more so. He redressed in something he often wore as a teacher, imagining the way Hermione still fit marvelously well into her school uniform, though she filled out the sweater slightly more now. She’d fashioned the skirt slightly shorter, the v-neck lower; she played the part of a naughty student well considering how well behaved of a student she’d been…for the most part.
Just as he buttoned up his shirt, Violet burst through the door, her arms wide open for her father. He knelt down without hesitation and accepted her into his own embrace. She was a spectacular child and he loved her deeply, moreso than he’d even imagined.
“Love you, Papa,” She whispered, pulling away slightly.
“And I you, my little flower,” He tapped her forehead with his own then gently nuzzled the tip of his nose to hers. As she ran off again, Hermione stood in the doorway smiling. Severus Snape as a doting, affectionate father (at least in his own way) was not a sight that anyone could have predicted, crystal ball or no.
“You know, the two of you can be nauseatingly sweet sometimes,” She ribbed him a little before following their daughter out of the house.
“Disrespecting the faculty,” He murmured to himself before smiling wickedly, “That’s worth at least one detention, Miss Granger.”

Adult Hermione Granger x Severus Snape
Background: This story takes place in the summer after the trio’s seventh year, at the height of the war. In this AU, Voldemort hasn’t been defeated yet, meaning that Harry, Hermione and Ron never dropped out of school to hunt for the horcruxes and therefore graduated on time. They (as well as most of the other Order members) now permanently live at Grimmauld Place, which acts as the base of the resistance against the dark side. The Battle of Hogwarts never happened, Dumbledore is still alive, and Snape is also still working as a double agent.

Chapter 1: Desperation
Disclaimer: I don’t own the “Harry Potter” book series. The story of “Harry Potter” is the property of J.K. Rowling, it is not my intellectual property. There is no financial gain made from this nor will any be sought. This is for entertainment purposes only.
“Before I reveal the reason for why I was forced to call this sudden meeting, I need everybody present to take the oath. Nothing that is said here tonight can ever leave this room.”
The unusual sombreness in Dumbledore’s voice caused an audible murmur to go through the fairly sizeable crowd gathered around the table in the dimly lit kitchen of 12 Grimmauld Place. Nervous chatter filled the air as Hermione, Harry and Ron shot each other curious glances – it appeared as though their third meeting as official Order members was certainly going to be interesting.
“Ze oath?” Fleur questioned in her sing-song voice. “But we already took eet upon entering ze Order!”
“I am well aware of that,” said Dumbledore with a sigh. “But believe me when I say that this delicate situation warrants additional precautions to be taken. It is of upmost importance that no one outside of the Order ever hears about this. In fact, if it weren’t such a dire and time-sensitive matter, I would not be bringing it up with any of you at all.”
Anxious mumblings went around the room as one by one, the members of the Order of the Phoenix pulled out their wands and vowed themselves to silence. It was only once the last person had been sworn to secrecy that the ancient wizard spoke up again.
“All right, Alastor,” muttered Dumbledore, wearily rubbing his temples. “Bring him in.”
All heads turned as the heavy door leading to the basement kitchen was suddenly thrown open rather forcefully, revealing two tall figures. One was that of scar-faced Mad-Eye Moody, his electric blue magical eye spinning around in its socket at rapid speed as he surveyed the room suspiciously. His left hand had a firm grip on the shoulder of a black-clad Severus Snape whose usually so snide facial expression was partially hidden behind a blindfold made of dark purple silk. There was a momentary dramatic pause, until – his claw-footed wooden leg audibly dragging across the floor – Moody forcibly guided the other man towards the empty chair at the head of the table as the stunned silence of all those present finally gave to hushed whispers.
“Severus?” McGonagall ultimately asked in clear disbelief once the spy had been rather ungainly seated by courtesy of a rough push. “What is going on? What is the meaning of this?”
Though he certainly must have felt the intense stares of all of their eyes practically burning into him, Snape’s lips stayed sewn shut. Slightly bend forward, his long, dark hair obscured most of his grim-looking face.
Sighing yet again, Dumbledore rose from his seat at the other end of the table.
“Earlier tonight, an unfortunate incident occurred at Malfoy Manor during which Severus inadvertently came into contact with a dark magic artifact,” he said, clasping his bony hands in front of him. “More specifically, we are talking about a dangerous, long-forgotten weapon which a group of Death Eaters originally created during the height of the First Wizarding War and which would have had disastrous consequences for thousands of people had it been used. Thankfully, Voldemort fell before they had the opportunity to do so.”
“Dark magic?” Remus frowned. “Are you saying he’s cursed?”
“Yes.” A barely stifled gasp could be heard coming from Arabella Figg, and Dumbledore gave her a sympathetic look before proceeding to say, “Luckily, Severus was able to immediately destroy the object before anyone else arrived at the scene of the event. As its creators are long dead, this means that we won’t have to fear it in the future at least. However, the curse still had enough time to take effect. I’ve spent the last few hours trying to break it somehow, but all of my efforts sadly proved unsuccessful.”
Slowly starting to pace up and down, he continued, “The problem is that time is running out. There is an important Death Eater gathering set to take place tomorrow night, and it is crucial that the curse be lifted before then. Under no circumstances would it be possible for Severus to attend while still being under the influence of that artifact. Therefore, despite how much it pains me to do so, I see no other choice than to implore one of you to help.”
“Well, I could certainly give it a try if you’d like,” offered Gringotts’ very own Bill Weasley.
Giving him a tired smile, Dumbledore told him, “I’m afraid that the situation is a lot more complex than simply finding the correct counter-curse.”
“What do you mean, Albus?” said Dedalus Diggle queryingly.
“And what’s with the blindfold anyway?” Tonks butted in.
“It’s old pure-blood magic,” Moody suddenly declared in his growling voice, causing everybody to look at him. He was still standing right next to Snape, almost as though he was afraid the younger wizard would run away. “So old that its true origin is no longer known. A type of magic that hasn’t been used in generations. Coming up with the correct spell could take days, if not weeks. We don’t have enough time for that.”
Kingsley Shacklebolt tapped his foot in frustration. “Then how are we supposed to break it?”
“We cannot lift the curse, so we need to let it unfold!” Hermione blurted out before she could stop herself, blushing slightly in embarrassment when all heads turned to her.
“That’s right, Miss Granger.” Dumbledore nodded in agreement, unsurprised by her quick wit. “I’m sad to say that this is the only solution left.”
“That’s preposterous!” exclaimed Sturgis Podmore. “You said that is was dangerous! Are you suggesting that one of us has to sacrifice themselves?”
“To be clear, I’m not asking anyone to give their life,” the Hogwarts headmaster clarified. “This is not a deadly curse.”
“Then what is it?” pressed Harry, growing more and more impatient with his mentor’s vagueness.
“We are talking about a sacrifice of a different nature. It’s –“ Dumbledore took off his glasses and blinked heavily. “It’s a very specific type of dark magic.”
“Albus, if I may?” Moody interjected.
“Yes. Go ahead, please.”
Stepping forward, the grizzly-haired former Auror eyed his fellow witches and wizards coldly. “Then and now, Voldemort and his followers had one prime objective: to indefinitely remove Muggle-borns from the face of the wizarding world so that pure-blooded magic folk may rise again. Their secret weapon, which Snape so foolishly decided to handle, had one simple, yet devastating effect. Intended to be planted on unsuspecting Muggle-born wizards, it would immediately drive them insane at first touch – to the point where the Ministry would have no choice other than to admit they were a danger to society and thus needed to be removed as a whole.”
“Insane?” George cut in with a gulp, throwing a cautious glance at Snape. “He doesn’t look insane to me.”
“At least not more than usual,” added his twin brother.
Despite the obvious taunt, the Potions professor said nothing; and so Moody continued.
“That’s because he’s wearing a blindfold. Were he to take it off right now, all chaos would break loose in here. The curse is only fully activated once the affected wizard lays eyes on a woman.”
“A woman?” said McGonagall with a pale face, suddenly looking as though she was about to vomit. “You don’t mean to imply …”
“A sex curse. Designed to drive you insane and make you fall victim to your most primal need; forcing you to violently ravish the first female you see until you reach release.”
A sudden coldness filled the room as no one dared to speak, completely blindsided by this revelation. Staring at each other with big eyes and open mouths, the members of the Order were thunderstruck.
It was Hermione who raised her voice first. Barely above a whisper, she hesitantly asked, “So what you are saying is that they were willing to let their wives, their daughters and their mothers be sexually abused and traumatised for life … just so that they’d have an excuse to kill off Muggle-borns?”
“In their eyes, it would have been but a small price to pay for absolute domination,” Dumbledore responded quietly. “However, I do not doubt for a second that most would have hidden their family members away safely behind closed doors, while the world outside descended into complete pandemonium. It’s my belief that their primary targets were half-blooded women and known Muggle sympathizers.”
“Albus,” interjected Mr Weasley, the ginger-haired family patriarch. “Please don’t tell me you’re asking one of our female members to, to –“ He could not even bring himself to say it out aloud.
“Alas, what other option do we have? It is vital to the cause that Severus attend the meeting. And by no means could we in good conscience simply set him on an unsuspecting victim.”
“Well, why can’t he just keep the bloody blindfold on?” Ron exclaimed.
“Language, Ron!” chided his mother, though her words lacked the usual might.
For the first time that evening, it was Snape who spoke up, and most jumped at his deep voice echoing off the walls, having almost forgotten about his presence.
“Should the Dark Lord realise that I have failed to take care of this … issue, I will undoubtedly be either tortured terribly – which would risk me losing control to the point of not being able to keep up the walls in my mind and therefore exposing the Order’s secrets – or I will simply be executed straightaway, which would mean losing the only direct intel we have. Rape is unfortunately an everyday occurrence for a Death Eater. My unwillingness to commit such a heinous act would not be taken kindly. It’s truly been a … mere coincidence that I have been able to avoid taking part in such atrocities thus far,” he explained, his voice eerily void of any emotion.
Following a brief moment of what could only be described as stupefied horror, loud chatter erupted from all sides. Groups of people were heatedly arguing with each other, their voices getting louder and louder, until –
“I’ll do it.”
Hermione’s sudden declaration was almost too faint to be heard, but it nevertheless had enough of an impact to bring everybody to an abrupt halt. Almost two dozen faces turned to her in shock, and for just a second, the kitchen was so quiet that one would have been able to hear a pin drop – and then the room exploded.
“What?!” someone exclaimed.
“No!” shouted another.
“OVER MY DEAD BODY!” Mrs Weasley roared, unleashing the full fury of her inner mama bear.
“Well, realistically, what alternative is there?” the young witch contended, her chin raised high in defiance. “Of the seven women here, four are married. And I don’t see any of the other single ones putting themselves forward. In any case, I know that I would prefer an ex-student over a colleague I’ll have for many years to come if I was in Professor Snape’s shoes.”
It was like her pointed remark had abruptly sucked the air out of the room again. Especially Minerva McGonagall and Hestia Jones – the only two other unwed women in attendance – had sheepish expressions on their faces.
Taking a deep breath, Hermione continued. “If this is really the only way to break the curse, then I am willing to do it. There is no way that we can just send Professor Snape out on the streets to ravage the first person he sees. What if it ends up being a defenceless grandmother … or, Merlin forbid, a little girl?”
Her words led to another moment of uncomfortable silence.
“It’s undoubtedly very noble of you to volunteer,” Mr Weasley finally said in a soft voice, breaking the hushed taciturnity. “But it’s not your place to offer such a thing, dear.”
She looked at him with great sadness in her eyes.
“Would you rather your wife or your daughter do it then?” she asked, and he simply looked at her aghast, seemingly searching for words but ultimately choosing to remain mum. The rest of the Order members merely looked at each other completely dumbfounded, clearly not knowing what to say.
“This is ridiculous!” Harry yelled indignantly, practically exploding out of his chair. “Hermione, you cannot be serious! It’s Snape we’re talking about here!”
“Harry, I think that having relations with a former teacher is one of the least traumatic things I’ll be forced to experience during this war.” Silence – they both knew she was right. “Professor Snape has done so much for us, for the entire wizarding world. This is the least I can do – for him and for the Order.”
“Still, I don’t think –“
“Don’t. Please … just don’t. I’m sure that you would gladly take my place if the roles were reversed,” she interrupted bitterly.
“I won’t allow this!” Ron chimed in irately, his face mottled crimson. “This is the stupidest idea you’ve ever had! What if he knocks you up or something?”
“You won’t allow it? What in the world gives you the idea that you have any right to determine what I do with my body?” Hermione hissed through her teeth, her voice dangerously low. The furious look behind her gaze was enough to make him visibly shrink in his seat. “And while it is most definitely none of your bloody business, I can confidently tell you that pregnancy certainly won’t be of concern.”
The youngest Weasley boy looked at her like she had just grown a second head right there in front of him. “How would you even know that?”
“I take contraceptive potions regularly,” she put it simply.
“What? Why? Why would you need that? Who are you shagging behind my back?!”
“I’m shagging no one behind your back, because we aren’t even together – get that through your thick head already!” the Muggle-born retorted angrily, snapping right back at him. “Also, Ronald, birth control is not only used to prevent pregnancy. It also regulates your cycle and keeps your hormone levels at bay, among other things. But of course a pinhead like you wouldn’t know that!”
The redhead noticeably squirmed at the mention of periods, and Hermione had to suppress the overwhelming urge to slap him. Her lips a thin line, she addressed the crowd.
“We all know that I’m the only viable option – either I do it or he dies.” Her voice sounded strained. “Besides, this is truly not something to be discussed with any of you here. If anything, this is between Professor Snape and I.”
Turning towards the Potions Master, she addressed him directly. “I’ll be in my bedroom on the first floor, sir. You’re welcome to stop by if you so wish so that we can talk about this … predicament in private.”
And with that, she stood up and left.

This year is even worse. But not only for the LGBTQ+ people.
People are scared to go out and be themselves. Because if they show their true identity, they will be in massive danger.
PIS „Law and Justice” (the political party that rules our country at the moment) considers the removal of one of the legal abortion laws. We’re talking about a situation when the fetus is badly damaged. Very clever of them if we look at the fact that it is almost 98 percent of legal abortions in Poland. X
The leader of the anti-abortion initiative, Kaja Godek, argued during the parliamentary debate that the defense of life is enshrined in the constitution and described any abortion as “torture.”
“Abortion is a pandemic that is far worse than the coronavirus,” Godek said. “It produces more victims and all of them die.” X
There is also very “nice” clip of her saying “Lesbians, gays and other perverts, stay away from Poland.” She also fights to ban all pride parades across the whole country. X
If that didn’t convince you yet, how fucked up the situation was, how about criminalisation of sexual education? Yeah..I know..
PIS is trying to make a law where you can go to jail for even 3 years for teaching children about sex and other important stuff they have to understand at some point in their life.
“The proposed change will provide legal protection for children and young people against sexual depravity and demoralization, which is developing at a dangerous pace and affects thousands of the youngest Poles through the so-called sex education. Responsible for "sex education" of the environment enter other educational institutions in Poland, awakening children sexually and promoting homosexuality, masturbation and other sexual activities among students.” X
You want more? Okay. What about a boy named Jan from Jordan who has posted a modification of the emblem on Facebook, adding LGBT rainbow colors in the background. He’s 16. “I wanted to show that it is worth loving and respecting each other without prejudice" The case was reported to the Police. They arrested him and told him he has to say sorry for what he’s done and threatened him that they’ll send him to a correctional institution. X
People here are scared, I am scared. I don’t have the power to do anything yet because I’m just a kid in the eyes of adults. And you may ask “what can I do?”
And all I’m asking for is this:
Please be loud and stay proud of yourself. Talk about the situation in Poland. Talk about how fucked up this is. We can’t let PIS just get away with all of this. Not again. Please. I’m literally begging you. I love you all so much, I don’t want to be silenced and be afraid to go outside. I don’t want the history to repeat itself.

Reblogging this once more because in Poland the situation has worsen. 10th June, president Andrzej Duda is using the term “LGBT ideology” and is saying we are not people. We are not human beings. We are only an ideology. There is also something called “Karta Rodziny” which promotes heterosexual families and gives them “protection” from LGBTQ+ community.
“Trwa kampania wyborcza. Prezydent Andrzej Duda podpisał dzisiaj Kartę Rodziny, czyli deklarację programową, która zakłada „ochronę dzieci przed ideologią LGBT”. – Chciałbym, żeby rodzina była jeszcze lepiej chroniona, także przed ideologiami, które są jej wrogie. Chcą tradycyjną rodzinę zmieniać, wykrzywiać, chcą budować inny świat, sprzeczny z naszymi tradycjami”
“An election campaign is underway. President Andrzej Duda today signed the Family Card, which is a program declaration that provides for "protecting children against LGBT ideology". - I would like the family to be even better protected against ideologies that are hostile to it. They want to change and distort a traditional family, they want to build a different world, contrary to our traditions” (x)

Love does not exclude
It’s bad. Very bad. Please spread the word. We are scared. It’s getting worse and worse here. We are not welcome in our own country and it’s terrible. It feels almost like we are going back in time where Hitler was trying to make everyone hate the Jews and kill them all...yes. It is good comparison. It’s not an exaggeration. Not anymore.
I’m tagging again some people because this needs more attention. People have to know about this. Please please please, I’m begging you, spread the word. Please. People here need your help. We need you. We need to know people care. That we are loved. Because now we only feel fear and shame.
