For anyone wondering why I have a headcanon that Bucky is a geology nerd (not to mention all the time he spent on the moon/in space).

Hello!! The legendary Kazzy gave me an ask? I feel very honored and special now.
2 What fic would you most want to see adapted into a film?
I spent way too long trying to think of what fic I’d like to see adapted into a film. Honestly, I think fanfic is a wonderful media that compliments film. It allows us to expand on what is in the films (and what isn’t) as well as to explore who these characters are and who they would be in entirely new situations.
7 If you were sent to the world of the fandom you write for, what are you doing first?
Marvel: Uhh. Staying exactly where I am because all of the superhero chaos and villain shenanigans happens on the east coast for some reason. It probably makes travel there so much less expensive though, so I’d probably go on a trip to New York City or Washington DC. Villains don’t attack museums, right?
Star Wars: I would go to Naboo to sight see and go on some hikes, also I bet they have incredible art and history museums.
18 If you could write yourself a fic for a gift exchange what would you write?
Oh man. Hmm. Either a fluffy 5+1 where the avengers suspect Bucky and Natasha have gotten together, and one where they realize they’ve always been together. Or finish my very first Star Wars fic where Darth Plagueis is alive and causing trouble for Anakin.
It had buddy cop vibes between padme (who is pregnant with the twins and having very strange force visions about her husband warning her not to trust him) and Obi-Wan trying to solve the mystery of why Anakin is acting so disturbingly mature (hint: it’s because Darth Plagueis needed a corporeal form so he possessed him.). There is this gag where no one thinks he’s acting any different because as the war he has been acting kinda like a dark sider, even as he does increasingly evil things only to be stopped at the last second by pure accident and chance.
29 How do you celebrate finishing a story?
It’s been three years since I’ve finished anything (definitely not crying about it), but I never really did anything other than feel immense satisfaction at completing something and nerves when I posted it. I usually share my writing with a friend, but she’s not into the fandoms like I am so her understanding of my machinations for the plot and characters is surface level. Sharing my work with someone who is as into the fandom as I am once it’s complete would be really cool.

Welcome to the 6th year of Angstober! We're delighted to unveil the prompts for this year of angsty, spooky fun.
What is Angstober?
Angstober is a yearly October challenge with 31 angst-themed prompts to inspire you to create. The challenge is open to all sorts of creative work - writing, art, edits, whatever you want - in whatever medium you want. Original work or fanworks? Whatever you feel inspired for!
.
How do I take part?
Tag your works with #angstober or #angstober2025 and the day of the prompt (e.g., #day 01) to share on tumblr. Feel free to @ us directly in the post as well! To share your work on AO3, add it to the Angstober 2025 collection.
You can post your works whenever - early or late - and use as many or as few prompts as you feel inspired for! We'll do our best to reblog as many works to the @angstober blog as we can.
.
Are there any other rules or limitations?
No. We do not limit what you can create. Angst can include some darker topics. We do ask you tag your work appropriately.
.
This year we have alternate prompts!
Not feeling a prompt? Wanting to do more? Switch it for one of our alternate prompts.
.
Is there a banner to post my work with?
Of course.
WHUMPTOBER 2025: PROMPTS LIST
Welcome to Whumptober 2025 — The Eighth Year!
WHUMPTOBER is a month-long, prompt-based creation CHALLENGE (think: Inktober, but whumpier). There are four prompts for each day of the month, giving 124 for you to play with! There is also a list of 18 alternative prompts that can be subbed in for any day to give participants as much creative freedom as possible.
All prompts are meant to serve as inspiration without being taken literally (e.g. you don’t have to include the exact wording of prompts into your work). Feel free to run rampant on interpretation. For example, if the prompt is “flame", you could create something with reference to a candle/campfire, your character could have suffered a burn, or the flame could be a reference to an ‘old flame’ - an old relationship. It’s truly down to you!
You can produce work in any media you choose, including but not limited to: writing, visual artwork, photo/video/audio edits, paper crafts and elaborate recommendation lists (not just a list of links). You can participate as much or as little as you want (i.e. you don’t have to do ALL the prompts if you don’t want to) and prompts can be used in any order. They are also free to use even after the event ends.
Please make sure to read the Event Info and FAQ carefully, as most of your questions will be answered there already. For everything else, you are welcome to come to our ask box or ask questions in our Discord server here.
Information on how to TAG is here.
This year’s AO3 Collection can be found here.
This year’s playlist can be found here.
The ‘Anatomy of a Whumptober Prompt’ post can be found here.
And our 'Resources for Writing Sensitive Topics’ post is here.
We’re very excited to see the community come together for yet another year of Whumptober! Go ham with the prompts, and support your fellow creators - we wish you all the best of luck, but most importantly: HAVE FUN!
Happy whumping,
Mods Vanne, Yenn, Kitty and Surro
Text versions of the prompts, including a google doc format, are posted below the cut!

faceless death
Agent Peggy Carter by Phil Noto
President Russell M. Nelson of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints passed away last night at the age of 101. As a heart surgeon, he pioneered ways of saving lives,—and as a special witness of Jesus Christ, he spent his own life sharing God’s light to all those who came in contact with him.
I’m sharing here one of his messages that I particularly love; a message to the world from November 2020, where, during the dark days of the COVID-19 pandemic, he invited all to experience the healing power of gratitude.
President Nelson worked tirelessly to prepare the world for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. I can think of no one more prepared to joyfully step into our Heavenly Father’s presence at the close of this life. He will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he has changed.
i need to know the statistics on this cuz its always weird to me
do you still talk to anyone you knew in high school?
