Our first brand new character to introduce! (Ignore I spelt Rogue instead of Rouge, I forgot they're French)

Alya Césaire moved to Paris for college opportunity, the allure of the superheroes who have seemed to pop up was enough to tell her she had made the right decision. An intense curiosity and drive for an engaging story, Alya runs a blog about the marvelous events that have been occurring in the city. She does it all! Photos, interviews, editing, writing, and design, Alya is a passionate girl who won't rest as long as her city is alive with magic. When a mysterious man approaches her and presents her with the power to join up with her new favorite heroes, she puts her all into becoming Rena Rouge. A bit wily but overall a genuine justice bringer, Rena holds her job close to her heart.

She gets paired off to a dormitory with her new roommate, Marinette Dupain Cheng, and the 2 become fast friends. Alya loves her creativity and kind heart, Marinette loves how she listens and confidence. With the duo quickly becoming inseparable, what adventures will they get up to?

RENA ROUGE

Ability: Illusion, with the power of her mystical flute, Rena Rouge can create a multitude of visual illusions. With intense focus, she can give density and physicality to these illusions, though she hasn't had much practice with this yet.

ALYAAA Here is the first of the never before seen character concepts! I am SO glad I never posted her back then cuz oh my GOD the first pass was terrible. I'm much happier with this version. I wanted to give her a more casual nerdy fit, fit with pins. I also wanted to give her a fuller figure and dressed her clothing styles that flow with this change. She also has a spider necklace for her sister! I liked giving her full texture in her hair, I thought the headband was cute too. Overall, she's so pretty oh my goodness.

Rena! I like the canon design fine, but I wanted to stretch where I could get inspiration from. I ended up using Mumbo from Teen Titans 03 and Sardonyx from Steven Universe to give Rena Rouge a more magician focused design. I love the coattails merging into becoming her tail so I kept that, gave her the white eyes superhero mask as I think Alya's idea of a superhero would be affected by her interest in comics/cartoons, and black gloves to heighten that "slight of hand" idea as it's harder to tell where they're at in the dark.

I'm so happy with her design so much, which is saying something cuz I do love her canon one! I've always been an Alya defender, yes she would get me mad when she'd enable Marinette but idgaf if she killed someone I'm sure she had a reason. See you next week for our next character! - Mod Cooper

Ladyluck AU, Alya, and Nino. They are both still very similar to their original counterparts, although Alya is a bit more invested in journalism and investigating than she was originally; she will play a major role in uncovering more about this mysterious new self-proclaimed "liberator" that has appeared in Paris. Nino will be of major relevance to Adrien, who is a bit more introverted here, so he'll be the one person Adrien relies on 100%, much to Gabriel's distaste

What if Alya and Nino were the ladybug and cat noir miraculous holders ?

( Since we saw Marinette and Adrien as Renardette and Trionyx in Chained Titans )

Actually we've already seen what Alya looks like as Scarabella but I wanted to change her hair- because idk, years ago I saw the first art concept and learned she was supposed to have an afro instead of her current hairstyle. And I didn't find this change so bad but giving her straight hair with spiky ends felt uncomfortable to me. Even though she looked pretty, it didn’t feel natural or like it really suited her. So I wanted to try something else with curly hair ?

I need to admit that I had a hard time imagining Nino as Cat Noir because of his personnality. Moreover I couldn't see him without a cap or a hood but I didn't want him to look too much like Carapace- anyway after some research I finally managed to do something cool with him :)
