I’m a surgical technologist. I love my job. I love helping people. And I love surgery. I was just notified the hospital that is in parternship with mine has layed off 300 surgical employees. Right after seeing that, I was texted by my boss asking if I would take today off because they didn’t have anything for me to do since the majority of our cases are ‘elective’ and have been cancelled. I’m scared. I love my job. I don’t want to not be able to go to work. I don’t know how I will pay my bills. I never thought as a healthcare worker I would ever be looking at unemployment. Just feeling down. Post pics of your pets please to brighten my day. 😞
