DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANY MODS FROM MODTHESIMS! Numerous mods there (including those by TwistedMexi) are being compromised by hackers adding a malicious file with the mods
Two creators had unfortunately been victim to their passwords being leaked. The people who are behind these types of TS4 malware issues tend to find leaked passwords and then sharing their Trojan file.
IF you downloaded any of these 4 items in the last 24 hours:
1. No Mosaic / Censor Mod for The Sims 4 - Toddler Compatibility Update!
2. AllCheats - Get your cheats back!
3. CAS FullEditMode Always On (Updated 6/26/18)
4. Full House Mod - Increase your Household Size! [Still Compatible as of 1/25/18]
Just know that they were only live for 1,5 hours. The chances that you downloaded something malware are quite low due to this. However, just to be safe, it's good to delete them anyways if you did download them 24 hours before as of this reblog post.
So: Just a reminder to, well, everyone using the internet: Make sure to change your passwords periodically! (and, if possible, use an authentication app).
As far as I know, MTS is working on making it much harder to update posts when you've been inactive for a while!
So in the future, the hackers would need access to your email provider to include malware in your mods. I believe this code is already live as we speak.
How to stay safe downloading anything CC related in the future:
Know that this issue is seemingly a big issue in The sims 4 community! While the other communities are certainly not ruled out to be able to have malware in them, it seems this group of hackers are really focused on The Sims 4 community as a whole.
What files are the issue?
ts4script files. Because it's raw python AND TS4 doesn't have great restrictions for script mods in place, these people can modify the python file to create a .dll file on running the game. That's how they get information if they're lucky.
.exe files or files that look like another file type but are an .exe file. (or some executable file like a bash script, etc). MTS does check these things before approving, but do be careful when downloading these things from tumblr or github. Make sure to check the comments there instead.
What files CANNOT ever get malware in them?
Simply said: .Package files.
Exception for maybe the .package files that are actually ts4script files, but that's really from the ancient TS4 days.
With other words, your: CasParts, Lots, Cosmetics, Hair, Sims, Recolours, Objects CANNOT have malware in them
The only "kind of" malware we saw back in the days in Package files was the infamous TS3 Doll corruption bug. But that didn't collect your data, just corrupted your save/game 😉
What ways can I detect if something is malware at first sight?
99% of script modders, when updating their mods, WILL add WHY they updated their mod in the first place. If you do NOT see any update reasons in the description, it's probably malware.
Check the comments! If you're not sure, always check if someone left a comment (or in Tumblr's case, a Reblog).
Trust your gut feeling! Does something seem strange? A bit out of place from the usual? Give it a few days before you download the mod.
Package files SHOULD NEVER have a way of "installing your content" through an .exe file "For simplicity", because 99% of the cases, it's malware to trick you. Unless there is a excellent reason for it (and I mean REALLY good reason).
More or less a download site related thing: If a download site has a billion buttons saying "Download". Please don't press these. They are most likely Malware too, but definitely shady ads. For those pages, it would be best to leave the item alone, unless you really know what you're doing!
Conclusion
While these discord server announcements mean well, it frustrates me to see that they mention that EVERYTHING is compromised. Whereas in reality it's only TS4Scripts and .exe files that can do harm.
I know they mean well! And wanting to protect people! But at the same time, it also spreads a sense of misinformation that can harm creators, websites, you name it.
So, instead, I would love to advise them to educate their members instead on what files can be the problem! And how to detect them. The more we get this into the world, the better we will be able to protect one another from downloading bad things!
And of course, websites that share CC, should make an effort to prevent this in the future. I'm happy MTS is doing this at the moment.
I’m still not in the mood to play the game, but I still enjoy creating sims, so I thought it would be nice to create some new townies, without using CC so I could share them with you. Last year, I already posted some townies households here, but I was tired of seeing the same faces over and over again!
I gave each of them three everyday outfits, some skills, and bonus traits. And as these sims come without jobs, the game may use them to fill some roles (as stall vendor or bartender for exemple).

Install them on a lot then evict them immediately. In the Manage Households window, click on each household, mark them as Unplayed, and move them in the Other Households tab
I’m also using the Master Controler to prevent the game from generating random sims, and use some of my sims saved in the library (including these) instead.

Here is a revamp of an old old old old fridge of mine. It is bgc, has updated specs meaning it won’t be a shitty fridge anymore, it’s good quality!
I added some extra slots on top for deco. And it comes in 15 colors from my Palm Springs palette. Each color has a decorated corresponding swatch and a plain one.
At least the name of this one is slightly more understandable. A simple recolour of the base game Slide to Unlock retro wallpaper that shamefully only came with three original shades. Now comes in 48 Image Spectra colours.

When Get Famous came out, I spotted a really cute potbelly stove that was part of a movie set– and I had to have it. So, I separated the stove & opened up the front so you can really light a fire! But wait, there’s more! The set comes with a matching bucket & stack of firewood.

So, this mod will override your loading screen. Nothing else changes, just the loading screen. There are multiple options, 12 are taken directly from in-game pictures of the sky, and 4 are simple two-color gradients. There’s also a white gradient with blue text.
Choose only one option! And make sure you don’t have any other loading screen mods, cause those will conflict with mine.

I LOVE clutter, but I hate having to use lots of individual OMSPs, and sometimes they (and the 9 & 0 keys) never quite reach the right height.
I decided to make myself an OMSP shelf to kill two birds with one stone:
a large, deep OMSP with plenty of small, medium and large slots so I can clutter a whole space in one go
make the OMSP work like a shelf, moving up and down the wall smoothly with the alt key so as to fine tune the placement
two versions: one hides when the walls are dropped (wall down version), the other doesn’t – you can only have ONE in your game at a time.

NOTES: This won’t work if you want to clutter a table in the middle of a room; whatever you want to clutter must be near a wall as the shelf acts like, well… a shelf. It’s deep enough to cover a kitchen counter or the top of a fridge, and you can of course use it to set items at a particular height before dragging them off (holding down alt) and placing them wherever you want.
The shelf is nice and chunky and also sticks out just a little further than a counter, making it easy to move it around and to select it to change the swatch from red to invisible. Sims will walk right through it and still use any surface it’s embedded in.
You can find it at the beginning of the shelf category, it costs nothing, and you’ll need to enable moo to use all the slots.

2018-08-23: Added a second version that *does* disappear when walls are down (labelled ‘Walls Down’). You can only have ONE in your game at a time.
2019-11-14: Updated to fix the crashing introduced by the pre-University patch. I’ve removed some slots, but there are still 130 to play with. This should fix your crashing. If it doesn’t, please let me know and I’ll remove even more. Please re-download your version and replace the current package with the new one. Any shelves already placed in your game should still be there, but any clutter that was on them may be removed if it was slotted to any of the slots I’ve deleted, so you may have to re-clutter.
2019-11-15: After more reports of crashing with the fixed version, I’ve done another with even fewer slots. Early reports are that this has fixed the crashing for everyone who has tried it so far. So, files in the download link above are as follows:
amoebae - OMSP Shelf.package and amoebae - OMSP Shelf Walls Down.package = newest fix with ~80 slots
Alternative Versions folder: packages with _Original = the very first version you were all using for a couple of years, very many slots, causes crashing for a lot of people but there for those for whom it doesn’t crash if they want all those slots
Alternative Versions folder: packages with _130 = my first fix that reduces the slots to 130, which fixed the crashing for some people (like me!), but not for others, so if it did work for you and you want the extra slots you can use it instead
Don’t forget you can only have 1 OMSP package in your Mods folder, but feel free to download them all and test which is right for you.
If you still experience crashing with either of the 2 new main files, please let me know but do make sure you test them first with no other mods or cc in your game to rule out any other conflicts.
Note: Ignore where S4S says the files are from 2018, this is the initial upload date, they have been updated with new versions since then as is shown in the ‘updated’ section.
@fableroot came to me with this amazing idea of layering my almond face overlay over @luumia‘s gorgeous vanilla default skin and this is what i put together! it’s a bit different from Almond, the pore textures are a bit more subtle and natural, and the nose is a bit softened. a note that i didn’t create any of these skin details, i jigsawed them together and it just ended up absolutely gorgeous. please check the credits to see whose creations i used!!
