It’s so damn interesting to me that as of right now, Splatoon Raiders only has one main promotional player character, when every other Splatoon game had multiple

Obviously this was done to better showcase the multiplayer, but it also helped to build up the world, and highlight the elements of customization so integral to Splatoon

So the fact the new Splatfest actually gives us two alternate designs for the Mechanic makes me fucking crazy. And I love how these three designs in particular were already set up as being the main three promotional designs in the image they used to showcase the customization. The three of them are the only ones to use Raider’s default teal ink, and are right in the middle of the image.

This has me really hoping Speed Inkling and Tactics Octoling will receive some more art when they get around to advertising the multiplayer. I want them to get more attention, and I hope that all three Mechanics will get names like the other promo kids before them

Urgent Appeal for My Father’s Life 💔

I am begging you from the bottom of my heart, please do not scroll past my father’s suffering.

Yesterday, my father was seriously injured in the head after a nearby bombardment. The injury is severe, and his condition is getting worse. Doctors have told us that he urgently needs surgery as soon as possible to prevent further deterioration and potentially save his life.

We are devastated and completely unable to afford the cost of the operation. The surgery costs $1,200, and every moment we wait puts my father at greater risk.

Please, I am pleading with you. If you can donate, no matter how small the amount, you could help save my father’s life. If you cannot donate, please share this appeal with others. Every share may reach someone who can help.

I cannot bear the thought of losing my father because we could not gather the money for his treatment in time. Watching him suffer while feeling helpless is a pain I cannot describe.

One time when I was a kid a group of girls and I had to treat another student for hypothermia by ourselves because she had so many invisible health issues that the adults we asked for help didn't believe us. The student in question was actively hallucinating. When I finally ran for help the people I grabbed were slow as shit to respond, casually joking about how "dramatic" the person in question was.

The kid was picked up by an ambulance 30 minutes later.

Now as an adult working in security I get SO MANY folks- upper-middle aged mostly- coming to me to 'rat out' people they think are faking it.

I was once sent into a bathroom because a client demanded that the "fucker won't get out, so go drag them out"- I was NEVER going to do that, so I did a wellness check instead. You know who it was? A person recently released from the hospital after a car accident. They had a hole in their skull and major hearing loss. They couldn't answer the owner because they couldn't HEAR the owner.

Another time about a homeless man who got around town by kicking the ground from his wheelchair. "You know he doesn't actually need that thing, his legs work fine, it's just for pity points"- Oh, so he's not paralyzed, his wheelchair is performative? Funny story Dale, I actually know that guy, he was backed over by a truck and has chronic pain from his shattered pelvis. But sure, let's make him stand up and walk everywhere so nobody feels too bad for him and tries to help him or something.

i just think if youre usamerican and within an online fan community for something thats also predominantly liked by usamericans You should be nicer and more open minded to fans that arent from the us and maybe dont treat them like some sort of strange fucking creatures. you might get more fans to talk to and befriend if you dont act like the us is the default for everyone in existence. this applies to everything ever when it comes to interacting with others online but im talking about fandom bullshit currently so keep that in mind
