Moonspell Magic checklist (+ Monster Ball)

I totally forgot to upload this here!!! Oops!! With Moonspell right around the corner it felt appropriate to share, and I'm really happy with the way everyone turned out

We've got closeups of course with Layla, Carina, Claire, Rae, and Willow

I had to simplify them down as these drawings are usually quite small, but I'm happy I was still able to get across their key features

And of course sharing the spotlight is Monster High's first deluxe G3 line Monster Ball

The idea of pairing the two was the first deluxe theme with the newest deluxe theme

combining my favorite aspects of g1 and g3 designs to make my own ideal-ish designs (im aware this has been done many times I swear im not trying to copy anyone)

I definitely have my problems with g3 as a whole, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t really like some of its designs. I actually really enjoyed the changes made to Frankie. They look very visually appealing, and having them be nonbinary and have a prosthetic leg was one time the diversity changes actually worked and made a lot of sense. Although I feel like they went a bit overkill with the lightning bolt motif, I mean it is EVERYWHERE bro 😭

I really wanted to include the stitched together clothes like they had in g1 but I couldn’t find a good place for it without making the design too crowded :/

I much prefer g1’s makeup. g3 just doesn’t fit and feels like it belongs to an entirely different character. I liked g3 shoe design but the colors were completely random and didn’t make anywhere else on the outfit, so I took G3’s shoe design with g1’s colors.

overall I think the outfit I chose leaned more toward g3, but the face and hair are more g1, so yeah

My version of Jane Boolitle in g3! I took a lot of elements from the bloom and gloom series, just because it's a doll i find very pretty ^^ Hope you gouls like it
