Here's my belated #WhyILoveDuchesne post. These goals were central to my high school education. Until the last few months, I never really felt their presence outside of that context. With everything going on in our country right now, I am finally seeing them front and center. I am proud of my fellow @duchesneacademy alumna for personifying the five goals as they work to make sure everyone in this country has a voice.

#ShowMeYourDrills Week 3/Day 4 I was doing really well with these until I got a little impatient and started moving too quickly. I've definitely been finding that the slower I go, the better my strokes look (surprise surprise). I've even found that it makes my upstrokes less wobbly when I slow down - which is contrary to what I assumed. #ShowMeYourDrills Week 2/Day 3 I had epiphany on the underturns and was doing so well till I had to get more ink, then I lost it 😩 I was definitely doing a lot better overall though, as seems to be the trend this week. Here are my supplies for the challenge as well. I go through a ton of paper and ink, so I keep it pretty simple. HP 32-lb Laser Printer Paper and @blickartmaterials India Ink are my favorite inexpensive supplies (the paper is the same quality as a Rhodia pad). I also swear by my Nikko G nib and beautiful handmade oblique nib holder from #RodgersPenBox on Etsy. But my downstrokes definitely improved over last week (they look less like an S now), and the line weight on my upstrokes was far more consistent (no blobs at the top).
