Trend, the Common Denominator.

Trend: “a general direction in which something is developing or changing.”

Fashion consists of a conundrum of trends that are given to us by society. We are constantly challenged by our own views and opinions as to what we feel is well…“trendy”. A series of questions present themselves every time we are introduced to a new trend. Do we truly like what we see? Or do we like the response we will receive from it?

It is safe to say that multi-faceted celebrities like Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Teyana Taylor, and David Beckham have made their mark in the “fashion scene”. These trendsetters are influenced by their music, places and spaces they have been, and by the people that inspire them. What inspires you?

A trend usually starts when we like what we see, and then replicate it to our own liking and understanding. Easily influenced by my interests and what others find pleasing to the eye, I wrestle with my ideas for designing the next commodity. I dress based on how I feel, and design from passion. Thinking beyond boundary is the fuel and impetus towards our ambitions, and to later find we are inspiring someone else.

I define “trend”, as the common denominator that brings all creative souls together.

What does your gallery/ camera roll say about you?

We often take snapshots of memory, but do me make a conscience effort to save them? I would say mine in a concoction of laughs, pain, art, the things I hold close to my heart. What would yours say? Are you hiding behind the lens? In a way you exposed yourself to you. All in all it will tell a story that you subconsciously created. I call mine the art timeline of well...life.

Sometimes getting back to your basics, is where you find your wealth of mind. #AMBITION #BLVCK

[Brand Spotlight]: Ambition Eighty Nine

I followed the young lady Brittany Waters (@lovespersona) on Instagram some day a long time ago .. haha .. i really don’t remember but after her custom design baseball jerseys caught my eye i soon followed her brand page @ambitioneightynine and was extremely impressed! While Instagram has been taken over by “t-shirt lines” companies playing dress up as fashion brands, Ambition Eighty Nine has its own lane.

Their custom pieces are exactly what i said, CUSTOM! I have yet to snag me a baseball jersey because they go so fast!!

Based out of Orlando, Ambition Eighty Nine is a growing brand that I can see making major moves and major noise!

That’s why I had to have the “#teamambition” jersey tee for myself! I love that the words ambition is on the front of the t-shirt versus on the back. It allows who ever wearing it to make the “ambition their own!
