It has been an amazing experience working as Director of SKY Schools USA Milwaukee at International Association For Human Values but an amazing opportunity recently came up that I have accepted. I am extremely thankful to Bill Herman for introducing me to breathwork and meditation, to Elan Gepner-Dales for his leadership and trust in me, Susan Ramsundarsingh for teaching me how to keep people at the center of programming, and Matt Nink for showing me how collaborative leadership looks. I also what to thank the rest of the team – that’s too big – to count, let alone give individual shoutouts, for their support over the last six years. I’ve taken on the Community Program Coordinator position at Medical College of Wisconsin – helping to eradicate the cancer in Wisconsin and beyond. My team, department of Community Outreach & Engagement, led by Dr. Charles Rogers and guided by Debra Nevels. My focus will be on men’s health; bringing education, information, and opportunities to reduce cancer disparities in under-resourced and represented communities. I’m excited for this next step and I’m feeling empowered that I’m able to continue learning and growing by serving others.
