This was a quick and dirty 3 hour test to see if I could make and move a simple rig for my Le Monster project! Can't wait to see what else I can do with it! :)

Some Pikmin gouache experiments! I'm definitely going to do more in the future, and I'm thinking about making them into stickers!

The final! Again, tumblr is displaying this kinda dark, so check out my portfolio website for actual values! But I’m really happy with how this turned out! I tried my hand at lineart that doesn’t change in weight, and while it seemed easier, I’m conflicted on how I feel about it. I’m still pleased with it though, and may attempt the lineart technique again with a thinner line. I tried to make the background look like papyrus paper!

Work in progress! Placed colors and rendered my skin out a bit. Pretty happy with it so far! I’m learning alot about Egyptian art and history! Also, Tumblr is making these ridiculously dark for some reason?? Hopefully it doesn’t do that to the final...

The 6th and final assignment for Illustration 4! We were given two columns: the first was adjectives/genres and the second was professions. We had to pick one word from both and illustrate them as if they were rpg characters.

I went with Egyptian Love God and Egyptian Mercenary because I liked both ideas and wanted to do research on both of them!

And it’s done! Illustration assignment 5. I’m really happy with how this one turned out! I plan to use these characters more in the future, so keep an eye out for them!

Here’s the next step of my Illustration assignment! I used myself for pose reference. I also chose Beyonce’s Formation as my song! I’m also trying to get a diverse set of body types for representation purposes!

This is the start of Assignment 5! I switched from the concept art track to the comics one because this one seemed like more fun. It was to create a comic book cover from a song, so here are my preliminary sketches, and some reference from the videos of the songs I considered.

3d Model is just about done! I’ve got some basic textures, and a pretty good model to start rigging. I’m really proud of it!

And done! Assignment 4: Big Ass Gun

I had a LOT of fun with this project, and I’m in love with Asa as a character! I think I want to do more with her in the future. A possible animation, maybe.

We started Assignment 4 in Illustration! The title of it is ‘Big Ass Gun’ and we are to create a gun ‘capable of destroying alien armor’. I got really inspired for this project and immediately went for a more unique weapon than others. So for now, meet Asa and her arm cannon! 

Can you tell which video games I played as a kid? Haha!
