          “So I was in the cookbook section at Flourish and Blotts and it got me thinking about all the really awesome foods that we got to eat at Hogwarts. I feel like I’m not getting to eat now that I’m an adult.”

“Oh, sorry.” Amelia exclaimed as she quickly sidestepped. “What are you painting?”

“Two or three times a day. The effects last for around three to four hours. You could take it more often, but then there’s a chance you could get sort of sluggish, especially if you take it immediately after it wears off. So I’d wait about an hour between it wearing off and the next dose if you’re particularly busy.”

“That could work. But you still have full focus right?” Amelia couldn’t risk falling behind on work or not being fully focused, there was too much pressure.

“Of course that always helps. At least it is a given that all of your friends will get on. So when is the big day?”

“Unfortunately I do and sadly, yes, you are right in that sense. I just don’t think that should be the case at all.”

“It is quite unfair, and completely unnecessary. They don’t even know anything about us.”

“ probably haven’t got enough sense between the lot of them to know otherwise. ” alecto said decisively, her quill pausing long enough to look at the other girl. “ was there something i could help you with? ”  

“True, I’m always surprised at the level of stupidity in some people!” Amelia said with a small chuckle. “Oh I was just passing by, couldn’t help myself when it came to discussing how bad divination is. What are working on by the way?” She asked, tilting her head towards the parchment.

       “The question is: Do you trust me?” She held up the potion vile and simply raised a brow in their direction.

“I don’t have any reason not to trust you.” Amelia replied, narrowing her eyes slightly at the vile.

“The taste isn’t the best, but it’s extremely therapeutic. You only need a few drops when you start to feel anxious.” Mia clarified as she produced a vial from behind the counter. “But if the taste is too strong, you can hide the taste by slipping it in some tea. It’s just not as direct as the normal dosage, so it takes longer to kick in.” She wanted to give her customers as many options as possible when it came to her potions.

Amelia listened as she turned the bottle of potion over in her hands. Work was stressing her out and this potion was exactly the kind of thing she needed. “That sounds perfect, thank you. How often can I take it?”

her nose almost touched the parchment, she was so close to her work. alecto was concentrated, for hours her focus was on nothing but her charts. not even the sound of approaching footsteps could tear her eyes away. “ i don’t do fortunes, ” carrow uttered, her quill scratching away. “ you could try the hag next door, but mind you she’s told five people today that she saw the grim and they’d all meet terrible fates by sundown. haven’t heard of one incident yet, so if you want my opinion, it’d just be a waste of ten galleons. ”

“Believe me I wasn’t even going to try. I don’t know how she gets any custom at all.” Amelia never really believed in the subject of divination and thought it all a load of rubbish.

“no, i’ve been reading since i was five.” her tone was blunt, letting the other know she didn’t approve of the joke. “i read about them, studied them extensively before i tried them out. i wouldn’t want to fail.” there had been a few she had made mistakes about but she tried her hardest not to let that number be large. 

“I guess we all have our way of learning.” Amelia much preferred learning through practice than reading. Of course she would read the background of the spell but wouldn’t get caught up about it.

“Most people do,” Sephy smiled softly, though she gathered from her tone that she wasn’t the biggest fan of her soon-to-be husband. “We met when we were younger, though i haven’t seen him for a long time now.”

“I guess that’s better than just a stranger. Are you nervous? Are you ready to commit to this person forever?”

“I can give you some feedback so you can perfect it for the Minister?”

“Because I’m an Auror, and no one should get away with breaking the law and hurting people.”

“I mean, I want to get good at muggle healing as well, just if the situation called for it. I find it crazy that people actually do it to innocent people.”

“I guess Muggles are an easy target, they can’t defend themselves like we can.”
