Well... I didnât expect to spend my day like this.
pastor-timothyâ:
Thatâs one of my favorites too. Iâve listened to most of them. And truthfully, I never did, I like reading mysteries but I donât think that Iâm really the one who would actually solve them. But yeah, readingâs one of my favorites too, has been pretty much most of my life.Â
Why do you say that? I bet youâd make a great detective; never doubt you can do anything. Reading is great isnât it? I love being able to travel to far off lands and going on adventures; itâs so much better than reality. What does do you like to do for fun? Baking for me is fun, also as weird as it is; cleaning is too.
abbizimmsâ:
I havenât tried that one, but it sounds absolutely delicious! Adulting is hard! I donât blame you. Yes, Bagheera is the name of the black panther in the Jungle Book, and heâs a black cat. Itâs clever. Andre had him before we started dating. I havenât really been riding before, but I think my husband is quite the equestrian. That sounds really fun, honestly. And itâs very sweet that your dad told you those stories. I do a lot of reading. And I like watching movies. I also like cooking and watching cooking competitions.
âYou definitely should try it. I mean all Mascots are a must try, at least once. It really is but we all will somehow make it and never understand why but apparently we do when we give birth to new life; itâs a little crazy but Iâm hoping to eventually get it. I knew I knew that name was somewhere but my mind couldnât think of it. Well if you ever want to go riding again or maybe try impressing your husband, Iâd be happy to go riding with you. I usually go by myself but it would be nice do to so with others. What was the last book and movie you saw and read? I like the same. I was recently watching the new season of Nailed it and I just.. I admire all those who try. I mean Iâm not a great cook but I try. I make mean snickerdoodle cookies.
olliekeanethegeekâ:
Well, it really is a pleasure Mia. However, Iâm afraid I am quite serious ! Yâknow, itâs funny you mention that rock thing. I lived in a little rock hut, just outside of the city before all of this started. So, if you think about it, I lived under several rocks actually. Nah, Iâm kidding! Oh I can completely understand that sort of appeal! Iâm just not a medical drama person in general. Repeat mistakes? Are you a physician of some sort?Â
Oh please donât apologize! Blabber away! Oh Brooklyn 99 is absolutely hilarious. Killer writing, fantastic representation and inclusivityâŚItâs one of the best shows Iâve ever seen period. Thatâs high praise coming from a man who watches as much television and film as me. If I need something to put me in a good mood, I put it on and Iâm usually better in an episode or two.
âYou are quite the interesting person Ollie, hope its ok I call you that. I will definitely give that show a shot; I need something to binge soon since I canât go back to work just yet. I mean I can go and water everything but I canât really do anything else and itâs kind of making me stir crazy. But maybe I can just put flower crowns together at home; I donât know Iâll figure out something. Haha Oh lord, donât say that to my mother, she will get huffy and go Oh you better she should of be, not worrying about flowers. Also let let guessâŚdid you produce this show? Or are you just that avid entertainment man. Personally my favorite comedy will always be âChuckâ To me, that was great television.
aka-andretorresâ:
Oui, the two of them have a great dynamic together on the show. I havenât watched the other versions of Nailed it yet but I think a part of me wonders whether or not they are as entertaining as what Nicole and Jacques bring to the show. But likewise, I plan to watch it and Iâll see if my wife wants to watch it with me. London? I think youâre the first other person I have met on here to have ties outside of the U.S. Your floral shopâs name sounds delightful. Do you have a website as well? It doe feel steep when itâs just for one person to be watching. I imagine a part of it is to compensate for the loss of income they would make at the box office, especially since many cinema ticket prices have been rising around the country. And that does little for the theatres themselves, which is why the concession prices are already high. Are you? Well, if it helps, Iâm a consult for the business world, haha. So I would be happy to lend my services to you if need be.
Iâve tried the Spain one but sadly itâs not as appealing because Iâm more reading subtitles then watching how they act on the show. Oui, London; born and raised actually. I came here for a better opportunity but also I just needed a fresh start. A lot of my flowers I got imported from London, so itâs kind of what gives my little shop a fresh feel. Business is great but not as of late with you know all that is going on. It is delightful; I like to make people feel they are walking through a secret garden when they come in. It was a lot of work and money but itâs worth it and easy maintenance. I donât have a website yet; itâs a work in progress, just havenât had the time yet. Thatâs true and I canât imagine the impact itâs having on the businesses but at least for one thing, I know theaters will never go completely out of business; I feel like they just need a better plan because nothing beats dinner and a movie. Really? Wow, that honestly would be really nice. Iâm still trying to get the hang out of everything and its just gibberish to me still. How did you get started in business? Â
aka-andretorresâ:
Oh really? I think sheâs very funny. Her energy certainly helps with not taking a show like that too seriously, and I think thatâs important. Oh, my family lives outside of the country, so we likely wonât be seeing each other for quite some time. And I suppose thatâs the best for us all but hopefully things will improve soon. You run a flower shop? That sounds like a wonderful business to be in. Whatâs the name of your shop? Yes, it does seem like a rather unreasonable amount when some people are only watching the movie alone. I understand why they are doing it but itâs unfortunate that there isnât away to better adjust the cost for home rentals with newer films.
Yeah, I kind of like to read reviews of shows before I start watching them but I disagreed with a lot of them. I find Nicole hilarious. Plus the way she plays with Jacque makes my day. Itâs just a fun show. Â I canât wait for Season 4 to drop on Wednesday. Â Oh wow, same here. Mine are all the way in London; I miss them a lot but I am also glad to be getting away. I do, thatâs why I moved here to the States, I wanted to start my own business and I had a pen pal here who helped, so it all worked out. Itâs called âThe Enchanted Gardenâ itâs right off of Burnside Street. Itâs a small place, easily missed but worth it once you see it. Yeah, I mean I do too but I mean 20 dollars just for 48 hours? Thatâs a bit much. I mean regular paperview was like 8 dollars for that amount. But like for 20 dollars, they gave me a popcorn and drink with it, Iâd be down but yeah, Iâm still new to the running the business world so still trying to understand.
abbizimmsâ:
That moscato is very good. Nice and sweet! I think you just have to drink what you like. And some expensive wine tastes bad. Iâm definitely not a snob about wine. We were all broke college kids once, trying to get drunk as cheaply as possible, right? I have a tortie named Penny Lane, and Andre has a black cat named Bagheera. Andre has horses, too. Achilles and Gaia. Heâs trying to teach me how to ride, but Iâm not very good at it.
Moscato is the best; have you ever tried the Barefoot Cellars Pink Moscato White before? Now that wine is extra sweet, itâs very good. Exactly! I mean I sometimes still feel like that but Iâm like 30 going 31 now, and itâs not a walk in the park. Penny Lane is a very nice name, and Bagheera?  Thatâs an interesting name. Have you just tried riding or have you been there, done that? I love horseback riding. For me, it gives me unlimited freedom. I remember when I was first learning, my dad would tell me all sorts of stories about magical adventures that I would go on with my horse and it was just⌠itâs just a fond memory. Kind of sucks it wasnât read but you know, itâs still fun. What do you like to do for fun?
Ameliaâs Enchanted Garden shop
 The flowers bloomed beautifully.
abbizimmsâ:
Andre likes sauvignon blanc, which is actually pretty tasty. So we drink that. Or weâll sometimes go with a Riesling or Prosecco. Those are my favorites because I like something more sweet. And I like the bubbles. I am very lucky that I have Andre and our kitties to keep me company.
Yellow Tail Moscato is my favorite; those are all good choices though. My father growing up was a huge wine snob though and heâd always make me feel like I didnât have taste or style for what I preferred but parents are parents. Awe, I love cats, what kind of cat do you have? I donât really have pets per say but I do have a horse, his name is Florian. Iâve had him for many years.
aka-andretorresâ:
Oh, I see. I didnât mind that. It was still entertaining to watch even when they werenât strictly baking. The recurring hosts, Nicole and Jaques always make it fun. Oh I see. I know that has to be rather difficult but it is nice to be able to still talk and see families through forms such as Skype. My parents are a little upset, since theyâre both business people but the health and safety of their loved ones takes priority over finances. We speak on the phone for the most part but they have plenty of work and entertainment to keep them occupied through all of this, fortunately.
Nicole and Jacque make the show for sure, though I do read a lot of Facebook comments saying that she makes the show unwatchable but I disagree with it completely. Are you still able to see your family though or are you staying away for their safety? I feel your parents on that one though. I mean I donât really have employees but i got three brilliant people who help run my flower shop. Yes, the whole movies at home thing is interesting, though 20 dollars is still a little steep for me.
amberfawzyâ:
You have a horse?! Thatâs so exciting! Florianâs a beautiful name by the way! I hear Hondas are super reliable cars but I donât speak a lot of car so I canât actually confirm that lol! Nice to met you, Mia. Do you get to see your horse often?
i do, have you ever rode one before? Heâs a real beauty. Thank you, yeah he loves it as well. He especially likes the flower crowns I make him from my shop. Hondas are very reliable, I had help from a friend in choosing it, I know nothing about cars either. I do actually. I visit him four times a week when Iâm not working at my shop. He helps me clear my head a lot. What do you like to do to past the time?
pastor-timothyâ:
I havenât ever heard of either of those, but Iâll have to look into them. Then my favorite is probably Murder on the Orient Express, though my answer changes pretty frequently depending on what I listen to.
Hercule Poirot is one of my favorite mystery series. Heâs quite the detective. Death on the Nile is also one of my favorites.Have you ever wanted to become a detective? I know at one point, I wanted to be just like Poirot. You definitely should and once you finish, Iâll tell you better audio books, I love to read. Itâs one of my favorite past times. Itâs quite relaxing too.
aka-andretorresâ:
Thatâs true. I saw he was a guest judge for one of the challenges on an old episode of Hellâs Kitchen. Heâs fairly straightforward as well but I do enjoy Gordon Ramsay a great deal. Iâve also watched his show, Uncharted through Disney+. Heâs great there too. How did I feel with the approach of watching them through the holidays? I suppose I felt great? It felt right to watch them at that time, haha. It truly is, I consider myself fortunate to have her in my life now, especially at this time. Have you been able to see any family members? A pleasure to meet you, Amelia. Iâm Andre.
Well I meant, that they didnât just baked for the holiday episodes because you know they built ornaments and stuff? I sadly havenât been up to see my family in a while because they live on the other side of the country but they seem ok. We Skype a lot and my mother gives me a headache but I love her to pieces. Itâs a pleasure Andre, how is your family take this whole world pandemic thing? Have you talked to them?
pastor-timothyâ:
I mostly read mysteries and the classics. Iâm not really one for romance books. Though the swashbuckling hero type doesnât sound too bad.Â
Hmm... alright, first choice. Have you ever heard of a novel called âGone girlâ by Gillian Flynn. Or maybe In the woods by Tana French? Classics are the best, whats your favorite classic by far?
amberfawzyâ:
Okay I still have mixed feelings about this whole thing but with all this social distancing and whatever, itâs nice to be able to connect with more people and still sort of socialize? Anyway! Hi, Iâm Amber! Call me Amber, Ambs, or Am! And as a funtabulous ice breaker question, tell me what your carâs name is! And if you donât have a car, whatâs your dream car and what would you name it?!
Well, Iâm not really a car type of person but I got a horse. His name Florian but I do drive a Honda Accord. What about you? Iâm Amelia By the way, you can call me Mia or Mel.
pastor-timothyâ:
Does anyone have any good audiobook suggestions? Iâve gotten through most of my list a bit faster than I was expecting, and I could use some recommendations.Â
Well before I suggest anything, what kind of books do you like? Are you a swash-buckling hero type, a hopeless romantic, a drama lama or a master of the night type of reader?
