Head canon: The first years love to say “ugh I’m gonna over-blot ” instead of I’m gonna kms. Every time they say it, the students around them just look concerned cause they’re the notorious group that went against their over-blotted house-wardens. Whenever they say it in front of their upperclassmen tho. There are varying reactions ranging from oh…Ok! To wtf???

They’re all equally concerned. It gets to the point where they have to hold a house-wardens meeting including vices(malleus was invited(for the first time in forever) and Ruggie bcs I mean cmon).

EACH of the first years are guilty of this btw. Like Ace and deuce say it all the time while they’re painting the roses and the other students around them just stare at them and slowly back away every time. Epel says it whenever he gets the chance(ofc not around Vil or rook unless he slips up) and let’s just say pomefiore is truly debating if their first year needs help. Jack also says it but like not that often unless like he’s really tired. So you can imagine Savanaclaws shock when they hear him say it after he got back from wherever the hell he was at with the first years(no seriously should we tell Housewarden???)(uhm no…? IDK???). Then you got ortho, Ngl I don’t know if ignihyde would be too shocked bcs let’s be honest they’re all gamers, they’ve def said some wild shit but maybe they would just slowly send a message to Idia just in case when they heard ortho say it like for the fourth time in just two minutes. Sebek? Well he wouldn’t say it often at all lile Jack but he does slip up when he’s especially tired. So you can imagine how his roommates would react to hearing him say that after he just got back from training. Like they’d be mildly concerned and debate telling someone. And finally for Yuu, THEY are the main culprit of this spread of the phrase to the other first years. They mentioned how it was a “normal” thing to say back in their world. So now they got all the first years saying it. They are also the one that uses it the most. Crewel heard them say it once and had to backtrack for a minute.

Idk me personally I say it a lot and like my friends and family are used to it but when I say it with someone outside of the usual circle without meaning to, they look at me like I’m crazy😭

All because he wanted to fix his mistakes. Wanted to fix what was broken.

He'd done a lot of things he wasn't proud of, and by all things you shouldn't have wanted anything to do with him. Yet there you both were, years later. In bed together, with you held into his chest as you slept. Wanting to be nowhere else in the world. Idia had made so many mistakes in his mind, had broken a lot of things. In his view he was a man of sin, unworthy of good things. Yet for some strange reason the Fates gave you to him. You, who became one of the best things in his life. You, who like Persephone, had brought life to the barren garden in his heart. He'd never tell you about these rare night musings of him thinking he didn't deserve you. Of the ghosts of his past haunting him in the late night hours. Nor would he tell you that despite being undeserving of you. He would rather die than give you up. Because Idia Shroud at heart was a selfish man when it came to you. And you yourself were just as selfish as him.

He may not deserve this life, but he'd never give it up for anything. You were worth fighting for, and he'd always fight for you. Selfish heart and all.

I don't have any solid plans to do any more at the moment, sorry! I have a couple of thoughts, but I want to wait until I have a stronger idea of what I want to do with 'em before I promise anything! although I'm glad other people agree that they are extremely good together. :D

I'm noticing that the fandom (ENG side) is seemingly having problems with hats on characters for the new birthday series. Namely the fedoras for some very odd reason.

I don’t think the problem is with hats in general, because many of the earlier birthday boys with hats were well-received or found to be charming. For example, Ace’s newspaper boy cap and Jade + Silver’s berets were cute!

I think the EN fandom just… does not like particular kinds of hats? Or maybe does not like how some of the later hats are styled on the characters.

The big sore spot seems to be this type of hat (NOT a fedora, but a straw boater/skimmer/canotier), which began with Trey in October. I don’t recall there being outrage when Trey wore this hat, but I think that’s because it actually suits him + we’re already used to seeing hats on him.

I noticed that Twsties started hating on skimmers when Vil came out. Then those feelings persisted with Kalim’s, and then eventually Leona’s (even though Leona’s hat is the only one of the offenders to be an actual fedora).

Again, I think part of the issue is that we’re not used to seeing hats on these characters, so it feels more jarring in the few instances when they do have hats on. For Leona in particular, I also think the styling doesn’t fit?? His ears are cramped and his hearing impaired by the hat since it lacks holes, and all his hair is somehow crammed in there. It just looks uncomfortable for him.

I wonder if straw boaters aren’t popular among English-speakers due to its associations in the west?? I think people see it as something “old timey” and outdated, as I’ve seen plenty of barbershop quartet jokes floating around. The fedora doesn’t get it any better; it is viewed as a type of hat that mafioso or neckbeards wear. I also saw a few comments from people suggesting it must be that the younger Twst fans dislike the hats, since they're generally not a part of contemporary men's fashion. (I don't know how true this is, so don't quote me on that.) However, hats were historically considered part of men's fashion, which the younger fans may view as "old fashioned".
