-the dynamic between the first years is super nice and I love everything that Sebek brings to the group.
-Also love that Sebek can understand what Rook is saying.
Vil's dismay when Leona comes to sit with all of them though. Leona isn't thrilled either.
Ruggie leaving Leona to go sit with the second years is so cute. There's not much to gain from this, so I like the idea that he does enjoy their company.
-Leona calling Trey pops is great though.
-Leona's love of city planning and infrastructure is one my favorite things about him. Though interesting that Leona is still a little stuck in his mentality of having great ideals but no courage to risk failure.
-Sam intervening in Idia's junk food diet and forcing him to go to the cafeteria is also great. Let's get this boy out of his comfort zone. And Ortho decided to shove him all the way out by leaving.
-I shall clear away this detritus! Grim, Jack and Epel are all so very "How dare!?"
-I love Lilia and Malleus's choice in internships. Both of them are showing so much growth.
-Sebek's wtf about Mickey. WHAT DO YOU MEAN SOME GUY TALKS TO YOU AT NIGHT THROUGH YOUR DORM ROOM MIRROR?
-Crowley complaining under his breath about how often he has to replace magic pens. Like there's plenty of reasons to rag on him, but ngl, if I had to manage this school of hellions I'd probably be a bit off my rocker too.
-Silver trying so hard to not to be giddy with glee that he looks like he's ready to pop a vessel is such a great character trait.
-I feel like the reveal of the reason for Mickey's presence will be big
Malleus as one of the faces of this series meeting Mickey, the Mascot Character would be something.
-Ace making fun of Jack for going to sleep at 10pm lol.
Tired, so I don't have much to say other than hoping we make progress on the Mickey investigation soon.
when the objectively bad person has traumatic and honestly reasonable reasons for why theyre like that but it doesnt excuse their actions and only serves to make them more tragic as a character
AO3 has recently seen a wave of comments claiming to be made by the "AO3 Trust & Safety team", notifying you that your account has been restricted. These claims are not true. These comments are not being made by real AO3 volunteers and your account has not been restricted.
AO3 volunteers, including the Policy & Abuse committee, will never communicate with you through comments on your work. All important communications from AO3 will be sent through the email associated with your account. Starting this after a forever unintended hiatus (as most of my hiatuses from this game are)
-I like that even Mal can be scolded by someone. really hope we get to see Malefica one day.
-On one hand, Mal is so easily forgiving but I kind of dig it. The Sage's Island people have hearts of gold tbh. RSA is goody two shoes and NRC students are tsunderes lol.
-I like the acknowledgement of how awkward it'd be to have to go back to your life after you did what the characters did. The life of a villain after they get forgiven isn't always that easy. You have to sit with it.
-Lilia getting his magic back is kind of an ass pull even if I'm willing to go with the logic here. That said, this is all very dry. Like I suspect this bit of world building and lore is important, because it usually is, but I'm ready to move on.
-lmao they're having a for real conversation and Malleus is telling Lilia exactly how thoughtless what he did was. Glad that Malleus isn't just letting Lilia playfully pass this all off either.
I love seeing Malleus mature so much too.
-The implication that Riddle has unwittingly fallen in love with Idia's mind is priceless.
-the first years messing around with Ace's unique magic is cute.
-hinting at Grim's unusual background again. I hope we get more explanations on what direbeasts are. Also we have Dire Crowley. And Grim found Malleus's stone. I honestly think he's going to devour one more stone and that will push him to the limit. On top of that, Grim's desire for the stones has become more and more intense, though it seemed to take him a while to find and eat this one. Which makes one wonder if he has been pursuing it every night since the end of book 7.
-interesting to see how Kalim and Jamil are trying to negotiate their relationship. It can't remain the same, not after everything that's happened, but it's not so easy to change either.
Jamil's NO WAY!!! is so good.
-Azul's sidling up to Jamil after eavesdropping is so smooth. I like how Jamil tells Azul that his dream isn't super shameful. It's nice to see a moment of understanding between these two. Power fantasies are a normal thing to have.
-Floyd just taking Riddle's book and writing him an IOU is a power move. That boy can kill you with one hand tied behind his back, Floyd.
-"Everybody's been awaiting your return, Riddle-san." Riddle shocked at the idea that anyone would want to see him...
-They're giving us the set up for book 8 here, which is nice. Please tell me that one of the events will be cooking. Please. let's making the Culinary Crucible relevant yet again. A school of Master Chefs will be more than RSA bargained for.
will hopefully finish up the rest tomorrow but this has been cute so far.
Some things about this post since getting quite a few notes:
1. If you see this post, highly recommend taking it as an opportunity to set a timer for 15 minutes and switch over to ACTIVITY YOU ENJOY. if after those 15 minutes, you want to go back to scrolling, that's okay!
2. Huge shout out to this popping up in my notifs often, bc I do go back to activity.
3. I think there are times where scrolling is fine. Right now, for example, I'm being connected to a machine for two hours to donate plasma and platelets. Yes this is a brag but it is also a time where scrolling is one of the few things I can do. (Though I will probably also read or watch something on phone lol)
