Yo so this was kinda one of my favorite moments in DP and it does well to show why I really adore the relationship between Ash and Dawn.

I explained in an previous post a long time ago about how shocking it was to see Ash in such a defeated state after losing so bad to Paul in their first full battle, he’s never been so visibly shocked by a loss and it’s even noticed by Dawn and Brock.

Even when Ash managed to feel better and get back to his usual self, Dawn was still worried for his well being, worried that he might be trying to push himself a bit to hard. After all, his Pokemon were still rather injured from their battle yet they were already fired up for the next challenge despite their condition, it’s expected Dawn would still be worried for them overexerting themselves.

So in an showing of genuine kindness which highlights just how much she cares for Ash’s well being, Dawn takes the time to prepare an entire comedy routine with her own Team just to make him and his Team’s spirits even higher. Even grumpy ol’ Mamoswine is willing to put with the hijinks just to fulfill her wishes. Really, the fact that she went through all this trouble and took the time just to do this for Ash is endearing enough, but it’s even more so when you consider how in the past, Ash would be the one who attempted to cheer up Dawn and raise her confidence back when she was in a rut, and as such I like to see it this entire scene as a representation of the both of them coming full circle and solidifying the entire dynamic the two share. The moment she saw Ash feel down about his loss, she started making plans cheer him up, and that’s how it’s always been with these two, If one feels down the other will always be there pick them back up and vice versa, a great representation of the friendship they share.

And later on tin the episode when she sees Ash and his Sinnoh mons getting his groove back after defeating Team Rocket, Dawn is happy to see him in good spirits, and with that she can concentrate on returning to her Coordinator training, happy knowing that Ash is back up on his feet again.

A detail I especially appreciate is how they made a point to address the inevitable 'Ash would totally win if he just punched Yugi' takes.

Because in my experience, those have never actually been as clever or funny as you people seem to think.

As much as I genuinely dislike the episode, I love how they not only ignored the obvious Ash throwing hands joke and have him refuse to do so in the fight (one of the only pieces of Ash characterization in the episode I like), but they even said how it’d fuck him over anyway.

hi everyone, i've been having increasingly severe medical problems since july which i'm still seeking a diagnosis for, although it seems likely that the root cause is fibromyalgia. my symptoms are completely crippling when unmedicated and unfortunately there have been a lot of complications and side effects while trying to find the appropriate treatment.

i lost my job back in october due to being unable to work through my symptoms and am unable to support myself on benefits alone, though i have looked at as many options within the uk benefits system as i can.

Tuesday, May 20th: Hello, everyone. I’m Gem, a bi, mentally ill, and disabled woman in desperate need of help as I'm struggling to pay my bills, and I'm worried that I won't be able to pay my rent this month!!

I apologise for asking for help again. As most of you know from my previous posts, I have been struggling to make ends meet while on welfare. And due to my outstanding bills and ever-increasing debt, it has been difficult for me to get by. These past few months have been absolute hell, and with no other income, I've been relying on the kindness of others to get by.

However, I desperately need that kindness again, because I couldn't pay my bills last month as I was behind on my rent and had to make up the shortfall, and I'm struggling to pay them now. I owe a total of £906.21 in late bills & fees, as my credit card company lowered my limit without warning, immediately putting me in the red by £248.02 + £658.19 in bill payments.

Again, I know this is a lot to ask, but if anyone could spare any amount to help me, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would really mean a lot, and sharing helps just as much. Please only donate if it is something you can afford to do!!
