"so, y/n." marlene smirked as she lied on the floor, leaning her head against her hand. she watched you taking a sip of an alcohol that had veritaserum in it. "who's the mysterious boy – or girl – you like?"
lily, mary and marlene tried everything for you to answer their question. you were convinced that lily already knew or at least had some suspicion. but they wouldn't be asking if they knew, meaning that the ginger girl kept her mouth shut and you were more than grateful for that.
"sirius," you answered immediately making everyone widen their eyes. well, not everyone it was only mary and marlene who are the oblivious ones in your friend group. lily, however, as you expected, didn't look surprised at all – she had a smirk playing on her lips.
"sirius?" mary asked, her mouth was still opened in shock. "sirius black? the sirius black? that dramatic prick?"
you nodded.
"i thought you hated him," said marlene. "you always talk so badly about him."
you sighed. "that was because i didn't want you to have any suspicions." you looked at lily, who was still grinning. "however, mrs. potter over here already had some."
"don't call me that-"
"you're a traitor, lils!" exclaimed marlene. "we three promised to each other that if we'll find out or have suspicions about who y/n likes, we'd tell each other!"
"correction, marlene, i didn't not promise anything that afternoon in the library. you two just counted me in because i was there with you," said lily calmly. "plus, it was not my secret to tell. it would be incredibly stupid of me."
"ah, lily." you sighed as you placed your head into her lap. "i love you."

the september sun shone brightly that 29th day of the month. you closed your eyes in exhaustion as you enjoyed the comfortable warm feeling on your face while lily did the same. you two were the only people at hogwarts - excluding first and second years. you and lily didn't find a date to hogsmeade so you decided to not go there.
marlene finally picked up the courage to ask out a fellow gryffindor girl dorcas meadowes and she agreed. and mary was with the marauders. you thought about joining them too, but lily immediately refused to do so. apparently, the thought of spending time with james potter made her want to vomit. you knew that was a huge lie but you didn't try to change her mind.
the silence between you two was soon interrupted by the ginger girl.
"why don't you tell sirius you like him?" she said out of nowhere.
"what?" you opened your eyes and raised your eyebrow at her.
"you heard me."
you sighed. "i really don't know what do you want me to say. i need to be sure that he likes me back, otherwise it would be so bloody embarassing. can you imagine that? telling someone about your feelings towards them and their answer would be they don't feel the same. i send hugs and kisses to anyone that had this experience. . ."
"you're just so oblivious, aren't you?" laughed lily. "sirius definitely likes you. remember that emerald dress you wore to slughorn's party? he was practically drooling over you! i heard potter, remus and peter teasing him about it later. it was actually quite hilarious, really. he was blushing, y/n, can you imagine that? sirius black was blushing! such a shame you didn't get to see that. . ."
"yeah." you nodded. "cause i don't believe a word you said. look, i know you are smart and all but you can't be sure about everything, can you? that would be impossibly impossible."
"i'm not saying that i'm sure about everything." lily rolled her eyes. "but i am thousand precent sure about this. i'm serious, y/n, have you seen the way he looks at you? if you weren't so damn oblivious, you would notice that."
"sirius looks at a lot of girls like that, lily. i would like to believe that i am an expection, but i'm not. if he was really drooling over me than it was probably because his dick was getting hard."
"stop talking nonsense!" the girl exclaimed and threw grass at you, ignoring the inappropriate comment you let out. "how can you even doubt his feelings after all this time?"
"and how can you be so sure?" you asked and lily looked at you. she looked as if she wanted to say something. "come on, evans. tell me."
she sighed. "i'm not supposed to say anything. sirius would kill me if he was here."
"but he's not."
"do you remember michael harper? that ravenclaw guy that asked you out on valentine's day this year?" she asked and you nodded. "well, we know that michael is very popular at hogwarts so it was no secret and those news that you agreed to go out with him spread like a wildfire. it was 14th of february about eleven in the evening when i arrived to the common room from my prefect duties. remus wasn't feeling well so i was alone. i thought the common room would be empty by that time but i noticed sirius sitting in front of the fire place. i was about to scold him for being up so late but i saw sadness written all over his face. i almost didn't want to believe it. i quietly sat down next to him and asked him what's wrong and i didn't actually believe he would tell me but he did. he told me so many things i had no idea about, y/n. him having actual romantic feelings towards you was one of them. i mean, i did notice the change of his behaviour to you but as you now, i thought he only wanted to get between your legs. that night with him in the common room changed my whole mind."
you shook your head. "you gotta be kidding me. there is no fucking way that the feelings may be mutual. and even if he did like me back then, it was seven months ago. . . his feelings could fade away."
"i'm just telling you what he told me," said lily. "if i was you, i would probably tell him about my feelings."
you didn't say anything for a while as you thought about it. the worst thing about telling sirius how you feel would be him rejecting you. as much as terrible it sounded, you at least would throw that weight off your shoulders.
"i'm gonna tell him. like now."

the portrait opened after lily said the password, allowing you to enter the gryffindor common room.
you looked around and spotted almost anyone but sirius, so he was probably in his and marauders' dorm.
lily whispered a small 'good luck' and with that, you made your way to the boys' dormitories.
"what are you all smily about, evans?" james asked at the sight of her face.
she beamed. "y/n decided to confess her feelings to sirius!" remus, james and peter looked at each other with sad expressions. "what? isn't that bloody amazing?"
"lily," began remus, "why do you think the rest of us is here while sirius is in our dorm?"
"just get to the point."
"let's say he's rather busy at the moment. . ." whispered peter. "with a girl. . ."
the girl's eyes widened. "fuck! fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck! y/n is about to confess feelings to someone who's now in bed with some girl?!"
"it would be better if it was only some girl. . ." said james. "marlene and dorcas are in your dorm. who does that leaving?"
mary.
"shit."

you paced in front of the door to the marauders' dorm, nervoussy building up in your body by each passing second.
you haven't really thought about what you would say as it was quite fast desicion, leaving almost no time to think about your confession.
you finally picked up the courage and knocked on the door, waiting for sirius to answer. when you didn't hear anything, you thought he was probably in the bathtroom and that's why he didn't hear you. not thinking much about it, you opened the door. and you wished you didn't make that movement at all.
your eyes immediately landed on sirius bed. he was there, naked with mary, who was also clothesless, on top of him. the two of them quickly turned their heads to you and mirrored your wide-eyed expression. however, mary's eyes were soon filled with regret as she covered her chest with her arms.
you felt betrayed. not because sirius was sleeping with someone – it would be more of a surprise if he didn't. but it was because it was mary. your friend mary who knew about your crush on sirius. that mary who wanted to get you and sirius together since she found out. you felt as if she took a knife and stabbed you in the back.
"y/l/n." sirius nodded at you as a greeting. "need something?"
"i actually wanted to talk to you," you admitted.
"then go on," he said. "tell me, what's going on in that pretty head of yours?"
you bit the inside of your cheek at that 'pretty head' compliment. "this is really not a good time for me to tell you," you paused. "and now i think there will be no right time for it in the future."
with a final breath and a 'sorry', you walked out of the room, closing the door behind you.
seconds later, you found yourself in arms of lily evans as tears streamed down your face.
I thought I could celebrate my current drarry revival phase by doing that bathroom scene again. And adding a little kiss at the end because a why not? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Soulmates. You’ve never really given much thought to them. Of course, you were ecstatic to learn that you have one, but not at the fact that you’ll never know when you’ll meet them. You stared at the mirror, admiring your soulmate mark. What looked like a black handprint stain on either side of your waist. Sometimes you wondered how you would meet your soulmate, by the looks of things you figured it was from a hug or better yet from a school dance where they’ll place their hands on your waist. That seemed like a reasonable explanation that you held onto since the news of the Yule ball coming up.
You sighed, pulling your shirt down. Some of the others at Hogwarts found theirs already, so you heard. You even witnessed it happen on a few occasions in the great hall, or in classes. You saw how their face lit up in shock and the immense joy they felt knowing their soulmate was just in one place with them. You’d be lying if you said it didn’t fill you with an ounce of jealousy, wondering when it is going to be your turn. But for now, you paid it no mind, trying to go day by day without knowing who your soulmate was, or would they even be here in Hogwarts.
