[If we artists don’t even respect each other’s creative works and efforts, then who will?]
At first I didn’t plan to share this matter with anyone, as I thought about Yuushishio - who used to be my friend. But now that I knew about how she had cut out some details and told her friends the wrong story, she even brought this on right in the ZoSan offline meeting in which I wasn’t present, so I decided to write this post to correct what have been thought wrongly about me, providing another side of the story that she isn’t willing to admit.
And I hope this will be the last time I have to mention about it.

1/ Since Yuu likes dragon, on her birthday last year (Jan, 2015) I designed and drew a Dragon Zoro for her.
—- This action means nothing more than an act of friendship, doesn’t mean that I gave her the permission to copy/reproduce my arts or make profit out of my gift. The copyright still belongs to me.
2/ Yuu liked my drawing a lot, so she asked for a collaboration. I agreed. Even though it was a collaboration, I designed everything for Dragon Zoro AU alone, including the chibi dragon design, normal/adult dragon design, half human half dragon design, clothing design, weapon design, etc.
—- Yuu only gave comments on my arts after I’d finished designing Dragon Zoro AU completely, but didn’t take part in the creating progress.
3/ Then Yuu copied/used my design to draw her arts without asking for my permission, nor giving me any credit. She tagged the series “Dragon AU” and sold them (art prints, mugs, printed pillow cover, etc). When she answered her followers’ questions, Yuu claimed that this Dragon AU was from her own imagination. These things have been going on since 2015 but it was only until early 2016 that I knew about them.
—- Yuu’s actions denied to acknowledge all of my hard works.
4/ Yuu told other peoples that I suddenly want to stop that AU and want none of us to continue drawing or writing this series. Yuu also said that I had forbidden Yuu from keeping the fic while it was completely by Yuu.
—- I didn’t want to stop that AU for no reason. I found out that Yuu had copied/used my design for her own works without asking for my permission or giving me any credits. She even sold those works for money. I had privately messaged her. Yuu herself suggested that we put a stop to that AU, both drawing and writing. Yuu had first made a deal to stop everything, then she asked me to let her keep the fic, I agreed. I tried to be understanding for her, so why did Yuu go around and tell lies as if I was being unreasonable and bullied her like that?
5/ Yuu told other peoples that even if she re-designs Dragon Zoro and the color scheme is green, I wouldn’t be allowed to use it.
—- Now, this is wholly fabricated by Yuu- herself. I have never had a problem with the dragon design because it has the same color scheme - green. I have a problem with the design itself. If she can come up with a totally different design than mine, I would not press the matter. Yet if her new design still resembles 70% of my design, then I will have to step in. If you take yourself as an artist, you must know how to be originally creative.
6/ Yuu said that since I saw how popular the AU had become, I wanted to stop it.
—-This is when she gets illogical. The more popular the AU is, the more I have to try to keep it, why should I stop? Yuu also suggested splitting the money earned by selling it but I refused. It was not about money or fame, it was about protecting what I’ve created, that’s it.
—-This AU is not for sell from the very beginning, I’ve drawn a lot for this and only posted those on my personal facebook, I’ve never intended to use them for business purpose. Please don’t insult me.
An artist puts a lot of efforts, time and thinking to create his/her creations. Is it that hard to give them some credits? The most unsettling thing for me is that Yuu doesn’t admit her wrongdoing, she avoided her responsibilities for her actions by saying that they aren’t really 100% identical. Until the very end, I still haven’t received any proper apologies from her.
Denying the effort that artists puts into their creative works, insulting them when they just want what they rightfully deserved. You are, just like me, an artist. Why do you act like this? I’m honestly out of words, I’m going to block Yuu from my personal account and also my other public pages right now. Everyone, please help me and pass/reblog this correcting post to anyone who has only known about this from one side and misunderstood the whole thing. Thank you.
P/s: Now when I look at these arts, I can only feel sad and painful…
