Lumina at W San Francisco

Lumina is a vibrant and otherworldly light sculpture towering at 27 feet, inside the hotel’s three-story entrance at the corner of 3rd and Howard streets. Why is it that Majestic Casual has over a million subscribers? Well I'm guessing its a combination of reasons. Its a place to flock too if you want instant access to the most recent and underground tracks before they become that big hit. The whole 'I knew this before it was on the radio' phenomenon. It's also easy to just press play, and let the playlist do the hard work for you. One easy to listen to, chilled house/electro/someothergenreortheother track after another. It's created its own internet community of people who feel like they are part of something bigger, connecting them through the medium of music. Majestic Casual is not just a distant silent user, but responses frequently to the devoted fans comments on the videos.

Or it could just be the very pretty scantily clad ladies that are the display pictures for many of the videos. Who knows?

Slinkachu Miniture Workers.

I often don't like when something as ingenious an idea as Slinkachu's miniatures gets used for advertising purposes but I think it works here. Raising awareness about the employment issues we are facing in Europe has been tackled in a really interesting way.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE INANIMATE OBJECT?

This is quite a difficult one. But sadly if I’m going to tell the truth I’d probably have to say my iPhone. I use do alot of social networking and who wants to miss out on that group message on whatsapp? It’s also my alarm, my torch and my calculator. It’s practically surgically attached to me. However I have the feeling I’m not the only one out there.

Taking the logos we are all extremely familiar with and adding a twist of reality. Some of these made me grit my teeth and think, can they really get away with that?
