I’d look in your eyes and you’d look in mine, and the world would lose us. If I had a thousand words to say to you, I’d say them all with just one look of my eyes. I’d hold you close like I’m afraid you’d leave if I let go and you’d stay, because you love me.

If only you’d ever let me, I’d love you like there’s no tomorrow just because I simply do.

Coffee Stain

The memory of you is like a coffee stain on my shirt. Faded, but never fully gone.

what are we when you call me at 2 am saying you want to hear my voice

what are we when you say you need to go because you’re not so sure yourself

what are we when you press your lips against mine and roam your hands over me

what are we when you tell me that maybe this is a mistake and then do it again anyways

what are we when we sit still watching the moon with your head in my lap

what are we if every breath we take is for each other but we’re so terrified of letting each other know?

my finger lingers on your name lighting up my cellphone screen. one touch, just one touch away from giving you once again all that i regret taking back.

Giving

They say you reap what you sow, and that what you give will come back to you. But no one tells you when the giving ends. They don't tell you that you'll keep giving till you have nothing left to call your own because no one ever knows when the recieving starts or if it does at all.

the big picture

You were so focused on the big picture your eyes didn't catch anything else. So where do you go now when you don't like what you're painting anymore?

Felt Right

You were like the missing piece to my puzzle. You could read me like an open book and you completed my thoughts for me. I imagined a day when my hand would fit in yours and your mouth would press against mine. But then how did it all go wrong if it felt so right?

the words from your mouth came laced with comfort, it made me feel warm.

you had this smile that I yearned to trace with my own.

and while I longed for your lips to meet mine, little did I know they were in fact made for someone else.

who am i?

They say it takes a lifetime to know who you are. The heart must feel ecstasy, agony, terror and triumph to realize where one's emotions lie. The journey of a lifetime chisels you into a person you can't quite designate early on. But how do you know who you want to be? How do you gain command over where your journey takes you?

I ask my ceiling these questions at three in the morning because unfortunately, someone with a mouth wouldn't be able to answer them either.

A broken bone

The path in front of me is jiggered. Overused, old fashioned and nothing not done before. But somehow I saw hope, experience and its rewards at the end of this weathered trail.

I still did my bit to ask around. There were some that pointed towards other directions, but some gave me reassuring smiles. I took off and I made my way through, at least I tried.

I knew that stepping in a pothole would render me a twisted ankle, but what if it's too late and I already have a broken bone?
