The fact is, antifascist action and counterprotesting in Charlottesville and Boston resulted in one organization cancelling 67 nationalist rallies across 36 states, retreating to the internet.

Very genuine question: wasn’t the Boston protest nonviolent, weren’t there almost no punches thrown? If so, then what gives? Why should we be always violent if violence has shown to not be necessary? Wouldnt it be better to be nonviolent if violence delegitimizes leftists? Why is violence, currently the only solution to many anarchists/antifa/etc.? Also from what I understood (was drowsy while reading so I’m not sure) the antifa here attacked the liberal nonviolent demonstrations? Why?

The article I linked clearly states that the organization ACT for America cancelled 67 rallies precisely out of fear of violent retaliation. Whether that was real in Boston is irrelevant. I’m not sure what you’re talking about with the latter bit.

it is quite enough to come out and demonstrate against offensive opinions without initiating violence. no worthwhile argument has ever been made as to why it is neccessary to initiate violence against people even if you call them nazi’s first.

The Battle of Lewisham

Today marks the 40th anniversary of the Battle of Lewisham on August 13th, 1977. The far-right nationalist group National Front planned to march through Lewisham in south east London (also where I grew up). 

However they were met with thousands of counter-protesters and anti-fascists, what followed was intense clashes between NF, police and the counter protesters. National Front chose to march through Lewisham because of its large black community. 

From this point onwards National Front began its steady decline and loss of street power, from Cable Street, to Lewisham, to Charlottesville, we must and always will resist fascism. No pasarán! Not now! Not ever!
