THE NEWEST RESIDENT OF EASTHAVEN
My Main Character OC for the amazing IF @thelonelyshore-if
Name: Lyra Moon (No Nickname)
Age: Mid-Twenties
Pronouns: She/Her
Occupation: Journalist
Appearance: Lyra Moon is a short woman with wavy waist-length black hair worn loose, Ivory skin and brown eyes.
Personality: FRIENDLY | GENUINE | TIMID | RECKLESS | SKEPTIC
Magic: Precognition/Clairvoyance
Lyra [sees visions of possible futures--sometimes far in advance, sometimes only seconds in the future. They can use this information to act and to do their best to fix things before they break. The weight of what might be is a heavy one, though, and being able to see the future doesn't always mean you can change it.]**
Lyra has her first vision when she and Ravi were about to violently crash into the end of a tree-cave. Initially she wanted to dismiss it as her imagination being too high on adrenaline at that moment, but it slowly begins to be undeniable.

Willow was the younger brother with his head in the clouds. Free, like dandelions blown in the wind.
Lyra was the dependable older sister, steadfast and fluid like water.
Growing up together, Willow was always known as "Lyra's little brother" around school. At first he didn't mind, he was always proud to be Lyra's brother, nobody ever messed with him. It's not as if he didn't have his own friends or anything, he just hated how quickly people stuck him in that box. He's talked about it with Lyra before. Sometimes, she couldn't help but wonder if part of his wanderlust was the desire to get as far away from her shadow as possible. But then he always finds his way back to her and they pick up right where they leave off.
Willow is frustrated that Lyra tries so hard to hide the parts of herself that he loves the most. How she makes herself softer and more palatable to people. But then there are the moments they share when their eyes meet, the brief smile or rolling of eyes whenever someone talks to her and sees only the projection she set out in the world. Willow loves the fact that he's the only person who sees her.
Willow knows to send Lyra signs of life in a semi-regular basis or else she'll go insane. He sends her pictures or precarious sleeping situations, fun sights and weird midnight musings. There's very little he doesn't tell her, whether it's crystals or a practice that he picked up, there's little judgement to be found with Lyra. She knows him, she sees him.
During the stormy night in the lake after Lyra furiously threw herself into the lake's embrace to get to him, the last thing she saw was Willow on the shore. She wonders if he chased after her, if he's somewhere at the bottom of the lake, tossed by the storm, imprisoned by the weeds.
She would do anything to make her way back to him.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Lyra would take a job in Easthaven as a journalist at the Easthaven Herald to pay for the lake house.
Would oscillate between throwing herself into her job and just hanging out at the lake.
Would spend the weekends testing the boundaries of Easthaven with Croft.
Would try to follow in Croft's example of not integrating into the town, but would fail because she needs people in her life.
Takes a bike around town, too scared of cars to get into one for a while after the incident.
Takes up journaling to detail her life before Easthaven, grateful for Croft for his methods.
Would sleeptalk ominous information about the future (Would be so fun for an RO to be woken up at the middle of the night and hear this)
A good artist, tries to draw something from back home at least once a day in conjunction with the journaling. Willow, her parents, landmarks from the way to work, etc.
Will unconsciously draw creepy depictions of events that have yet to occur.
Starts a comic strip at the Easthaven Herald.
