Anarya "Sunday" Huiliel Tarelda
This is a D&D character blog for Sunday, my current long-haul character.
The campaign: My DM runs a gritty, mid-fantasy homebrew setting where the threat of death is very real: Sunday is one of two original party members, and one player is on their 4th character. The gods disappeared 33 years ago. The party started as a team of monster hunters / witchers / nimrods. The story is since shaping up to be an epic of divine proportions trying to kill the primordial who caused the disappearance of the gods (I think).
Character Inspiration: Most of Sunday's original characterisation is based on me and my DM's For Honor head canon from back when we played that. Sunday is based on my Zhan Hu, and Erzy is based on my DM's Black Prior. Many other heroes also feature as part of the canon that made its way into the campaign as NPCs in Sunday's lore.
Important pieces of lore:
Sunday was born as Anarya Tuiliel as a first born bastard to a rural Elven chief. She was named for the day and season she was born on/in. She goes by "Sunday", a translation of Anarya, in Common.
Sunday had a wife named Erzebet and they lived in a cottage halfway up the mountain at the base of which her father ruled the chiefdom from. This mountain hosts an estate at its peak that houses the rest of the For Honor head canon.
The cottage was set on fire by he who Sunday knows as Jack, and Erzebet died in the inferno. Sunday exiled herself in grief, making ends meet as a nimrod, before finding the party.
Sunday overthrew her father upon her return after he sold out to the Sun Cult, who later razed the village. Sunday has since relocated her people, at least those who survived, and has since set out on a path of revenge against the Sun Cult and all those who can be held accountable for the destruction of her home, including the BBEG, it seems.
The Sun Cult is also implicated in Erzy's death and forced Sunday to fight and kill Erzy as an undead...twice.
Sunday sold her bastard surname Tuiliel to a fey before later assuming the matronym Huiliel after finding her estranged mother.
Sunday inherited a pseudodragon named Smaugy when her then oldest friend died in a battle with a dracolich.
Sunday acquired a dragon egg and is now raising a silver/moonstone dragon named Ninquë. She's about 5yo now, though most of that aging happened when she got lost in the feywild that one time...
Sunday started dating a party member named Soren shortly before encountering Erzy alive and well. Years had passed for Sunday where only weeks had passed for Erzy, never mind that Sunday also had to deal with the grief of killing Erzy twice. Sunday chose to stay with Soren, breaking Erzy's heart in the process, 2 days before Sunday was instrumental in Soren's death by mindflayer. That was a bad day.
Sunday has an elk steed named Eredhion.
Sunday has an unhealthy obsession with hag potions, mostly to the detriment of the party rather than herself, and she has made herself an enemy of many hags in the process.
Sunday has an evil, parthenogenic twin daughter named Isilya/Monday.
