i think we are long overdue for a game that does the reverse of 90s first person shooters and actively makes fun of the player for picking the hard difficulty
heres kinda what i mean
why is this picture i took of buddy so beautiful
Wow... My new pup Rayne had so much digging and fun with toys after i took this pic of her. Had to be there......!
What the fuck is your problem
of course kris likes the dog-like crow
my completely unfounded deltarune theory. ive heard that in the weird route in ch5 (i havent done it i have only heard this) that there is undertale music coming frmo Somewhere and with 'the world revolving' is making me picture this type of map for how the worlds work. its revolving as in constantly rotating just a little bit until eventually the positions are flipped, then when it's back to its original position everything is reset and starts all over again
like the undertale side is in 'darkness' and deltarune side is 'light'. but you stab the earth (downwards) to bring up darkness into deltarune and create the fountains and in undertale you look upwards at the crystals to see specks of light.... i'm onto NOTHING but it sounds awesome
the "other side of the lake" isnt across the shore it's underneath it
kris didn't even let her actually say the word "sorry" out loud before being weird to cheer her up
Ralsei in chapter 5:
Yk how i feel about them nerds
jealousy is another dark world
(this chapter is making me insane)
OH!!
OH!!!!
THE LAMPS!
Those are the suns! 7 suns! Thats why theres light in the darkworld, thats because of how important those 7 lights are to Asgore's flowers!
Still figuring out how I want to draw her….
alright but what if Kris's staring at the How to Draw Dragons book before shutting the drawer and thinking they know they shouldn't and some things should stay shut is indicative of their feelings for Susie and
*She's really looking forward to seeing you.
Ralsei will be the one to break the prophecy.
Everyone's talking about the weird route right now, which like HOLY shit. The prophecy can be broken. There was no flower man trapped in asylum. However I feel obligated to point out we may have an actual way to defy fate itself in the main route. I'm talking about Ralsei.
He believes that all Darkners have their own purpose that can not be deviated from. And he believes the prophecy cant be changed, but despite this he wants it to at all costs. The ominous broken panel from Ch.4 is one example, but I'm also talking about who Ralsei wants to be.
His unhappiness with who he is is pretty damn clear .We see more of this with the switch back to the "Dark Ralsei" form. His own displeasure with how he looks.
LITERALLY shoved into a closet by Flowery, and forced to wear something he does NOT like anymore. Symbolism is a literary device writers can use to communic-
This really shines in the butler suit scene. And the status text shows how deep into self-hated Ralsei really is, with ignoring his own wants and needs.
None of this makes him happy. None of this is what he really wants. Chapter 5 shows us that in pretty damn plain text. But funny enough, before the entire story starts back in castle town there's a secret little cutscene that shows why there is all of this discomfort.
She isn't fully there yet. Still deeply repressing herself and only agreeing when its what other people want. But its still her truth. Its what she actually wants for herself. All of her past desires of liking plushies, knitting, and baking fall more into place. Especially with the scene with Flowery.
Being figured out by the one person you hate the most has got to be infuriating. The blue and pink colors has got to be the least subtle symbolism, but the furious blush about being called Princess REALLY seals the deal. Even Asgore sees it. This was in a more literal sense of hiding away from him physically, but still it works on two levels. (The neutral pronoun change in this and the status text is even more of a sign. To be fair I do think this is a transfemme thing, a lot of trans people switch to something more neutral in our early stages.)
What if you can choose who you are in this world? What if by doing so, you can defy fate itself and break the prophecy? If the prophecy isn't true anymore could it still predict the future? If "the prince" isn't a prince anymore not just by identity but in the most literal sense, could this be the very thing to change the future? This would be excellent thematic writing. The only way to save the world is to love, change and accept yourself.
Stories can be rewritten and retold, and I think Ralsei will do so with her own story. Isn't that lovely? Isn't that wonderful?
Proceed.

This hurts…
I could be wrong but the ending scene gives the vibes that Kris spent a good amount of time waiting at that door. Likely not at the chance that Susie would come back but just letting everything sink in.
The confirmation of one-sided Krusie via their interactions in Chapter 5 does loads for the tragedy of their relationship. I can see Kris just standing in silence thinking about how not only are they losing Susie in the real world but also in the world thats supposed to be an escape from the real.
Kris has nothing to themself.
They feel like they have been overshadowed by their older brother, their family got torn apart, they getting puppeted around, and whatever is going on with Dess and the Knight and the promise.
And Susie was a ray of light in all of that chaos.
Their entire life has been upended and the moment they finally start to connect with someone on a deeper level, a fellow outcast, not only do their feelings not exact align...they are bringing the one they do love into the dynamic.
And they can’t even control their body while all of this is going on.
I like Suselle but man do I feel bad for Kris.
