I was frozen in time, but I feel as if my time is just beginning.
Light of my life.
I search for you.
His time within the Lifestream of collective thoughts, emotions, memories has granted him various insights and wisdoms, knowledge of the Planet over the vast millenniums. For example, if he were handed a cell phone or other modern device he would be well aware of its function, though for him to actually put it to use is another story entirely. For obvious reason they are loathed by the Ancient. This ability allows him also to read the mako energy of a living individual or creature, their memories and essence, whether or not they are willing to show him. However he dares never to use his powers carelessly and very seldom is this intimate process considered necessary, requiring touch in order to transfer thoughts, emotions, and memories alike.

A Gift of the Goddess
There is no hate, only joy, For you are beloved by the goddess, Hero of the dawn, Healer of worlds, Dreams of the morrow hath the shattered soul. Pride is lost, wings stripped away, the end is nigh.
At first, it’s as though the command has gone completely unheard. Loz only stares at the stranger curiously, trying to decide what to make of him. And then his nose starts to wrinkle in disgust. "Ugh. You’re… gross."
The scent of the man is faint, but intensified for the Remnant. He doesn’t understand what it means, only knows that it’s familiar… and unsettling. The urge to smear it away replaces all curiosity.
“You leave. This is our place now."
His brows would furrow in bafflement moreso anger, turning fiery hues onto the strange one who addressed him as 'gross'. Though the feeling was quite mutual there were various other, certainly less childish, ways of expressing such and despite himself, dark lips curved upward and deep laughter sounded within his chest. It had been far too long since the Ancient enjoyed a good laugh, and after a moment's time he would grow quiet.
"To even think I could stand idle and watch the knowledge of these lands become waste to your ignorance, such ill-bred kin--" Tanned arms raised across his chest where they would fold in casual gesture. "You truly jest, boy."
Kadaj tilted his head and let out a short, barking laugh. “Excuse you?" He took orders from no one, especially not someone who he didn’t know. And most especially if they acted like they felt themself superior to him— as this man was doing here.
At this remark, relatively blank features had grown darker, bright hues flashing in ominous crimson as aggressive flames within him sparked. The Ancient's patience ran especially thin amidst this aura, turning menacing optics onto the silver-haired other; upon a visage most familiar, repulsive. "As ignorant as you are deaf, aye," he bellowed. "A stark contrast from the likes of which you came. These grounds are ancient, sacred, and I will not allow your presence to taint them further. Leave."
` ceritus, inlecebra, derisus.
"Leave at once," he speaks without a single glance spared in the other's direction, tone clipped, callous, though not necessarily laced with hostility. Such tainted energy coursing through an empty shell of a body was nearly tangible to Cetran senses and though they did not quite reek of the Calamity, its essence felt of the same. And it was not welcome here.

Amongst clear skies was the crescent moon's light, in which crimson irises gazed upon for a short time in thought. The hour was late, he knew by appearance and alignment alone, most humans having fallen into peaceful slumber. And so with great reluctance and yet compelling curiosity he ventured forth toward the large structure of modern city where the thick smell of steel, dead earth nauseated his core--as somewhere within this stench lied the faint aroma of flora and its distant pulse; a familiarity like no other, that puzzled the Ancient and ultimately brought him to seek its source.
Clawed hands would press upon the cold, hard surface of double doors before he was greeted by what appeared to be a... sanctuary of some sort; grand, structured, radiant, built for light to shine upon and create an otherworldly glow. Intriguing. Bright hues glanced once more around the area before he entered and approached the bed of flowers ahead, such a rarity upon this long stretch of land named 'Midgar'. Bending one knee onto wooden floors, he would lean to observe closely though was careful not to touch. This was no work of an ordinary gardener, that was certain.
"Remarkable," he breathed. After all these millennia and Cetran blood still managed to remain. Who would have thought here of all places? Pointed ears would twitch suddenly, Valafar glancing to the church doors where he waited expectantly for these footsteps to reveal a countenance.
The Lifestream. That’s what we call the river of life that circles our planet—giving life to the world and everything in it. The ShinRa Electric Power Company discovered a way to use the Lifestream as an energy source. Because of ShinRa’s energy we were able to live very comfortable lives. But wasn’t that because we were taking away from the planet’s life? A lot of people thought so. ShinRa used their power to try and stop anyone who got in their way. ShinRa had a special group of warriors called SOLDIER and all of the SOLDIERs had Jenova cells put inside of them. Jenova was a calamity that fell from the sky a long, long time ago and tried to destroy the planet. Anyway, there was one SOLDIER named Sephiroth who was better than the rest. But when he found out about the terrible experiments that made him he began to hate ShinRa and then, over time, he began to hate everything. ShinRa and the people against them. Sephiroth who hated the planet so much he wanted to make it go away and the people who tried to stop him. There were a lot of battles. For every battle there was more sadness. Someone I love went back to the Lifestream, too. And then… it came. The chosen day. In the end the planet itself had to make the battles stop for good. The planet used the Lifestream as a weapon and when it burst out of the earth, all the fighting, all the greed and sadness, everything… was washed away. Sadness was the price to see it end. It’s been two years since they told me that.
