happy pride month to george costanza and the robbers from home alone.
Was the "childhood magic" off camera too?
i love that everyone collectively agreed that Mike will watch Dead Poets Society and rethink his existence because of the themes of rejection of tradition and Todd and Neil and therefore will get his act together.
trust when i say that when the 90s hit, mike wheeler will fall into the alt-rock scene that took over, let the gel and side part be a thing of the past and find himself again. Through nirvana, weezer, radiohead, sonic youth, you name it, he will drop the ted wheeler act and be his true loser self again. my source is: believe me.
sidenote: season 4 mike would not gel his hair like that. ever. why would they do this to him.
For someone who didn't matter much in the end, Tammy sure is haunting that narrative a lot more than she needs to be.
reminiscing over that one time towards the end of the year when we didnt have anything left to do in class so we watched dead poets society and i spent 3 quarters of the movie answering people asking who was who. "is that charlie or knox?" "is that neil or todd?" "is that neil or charlie?" "is that pitts or neil?" "is that charlie or todd?"
so one of the first lines of fight club is the narrator saying he wants Tyler yet somehow half of its fandom is homophobic middle schoolers...
not involved in the Daria fandom because its too small but if anyone cares to listen, stop shipping trent and daria. she was 16, he was 21.
the point of this plotline is that daria has an embarassing crush on somebody. it shows us that she isnt too different from your average teenager that she so often feels set apart from. this unachievable crush, it brings her back to earth "you did something stupid for a guy, you might just join the human race after all" -Jane.
the point is just that she has a stupid crush. like the stupid crushes we've all had before and that never leave our thoughts alone and confuse our emotions and make us go through an identity crisis.
also the scene where she tries to imagine a future with him and its a nightmare should be saying something if the age gap isnt. they are not made for eachother. trents lifestyle and attitude would only drag her down in life.
And what if I said that Neil was so ambitious to include Todd was because he used to be just like Todd. Mr perry continuously shut him up and made him feel unworthy of love and attention to the point that Neil thought everything inside of him was worthless and embarrassing and stopped speaking until he met Charlie who made him come out of his shell and made him feel like he was worth something for the first time and that's what Neil was trying to do to Todd because he knows what it feels like.
shout out to "clearly queer and in love characters that were thrown into an unnecessary straight relationship because the writers were trying to beat the allegations", gotta be my least favorite genre (it drives me mental)
oh to be a whimsical fairy in the Barbie cinematic universe and live in a flower
shoutout to pathetic, codependent, insane, kind of canon but not that much, a bit evil ships.
Gotta be one of my favorite genres
is there some kind of underground marauders type fandom about keating and the og dead poets society and their time at welton that i dont know about? if not what are we waiting for?
Robert Sean "Why Is Everyone So Obsessed With Homosexuality" Leonard and his PLATONIC sultry big brown eyed dreamy sparkly (not homoerotic) amazed gaze
robert sean leonard playing a gay character:
the gay character playing a gay character:
neil and todd are the kinda guys to have the "youve never kissed anyone before" convo, and then "teach eachother" how to kiss.
when school starts and its popular girls yelling, popular guys making offensive jokes, y=ax+b, getting yelled at in gym because you cant catch a ball that was going by faster than the speed of light instead of
"i can take care of myself just fine, alright"
"no"
"what do you mean no?"
"no❤"
