POST TPOT AU: VHSY

I love this creature who barely gets any screentime whatsoever

Lore: VHSy is mute. Has been their entire life. Because of this, they have to use their ability as a VHS tape to record the sentences of others, which they then mash together to make all new sentences. This is their only way of communicating with the other failed debuters, and it's what got them killed by Liy. Liy was originally going to let them go, since they treated her fairly and were nice to her, but then they begged her to stop hurting the other failed debuters, so she killed them in cold blood. This left them scarred and gave them trust issues, similarly to Marker.

To cover up the pain of their botched recovery, VHSy glued bits of PDA's screen to the holes left by Liy stabbing them repeatedly with Discy's dead body. The pieces cannot be removed without revealing VHSy's internals and causing them great distress, so it's best to just leave the bits of screen and glue be.

VHSy fully believes in the Pillary Ruins pantheon. Not because of Eight or anything, but because a scarf in a blue police box showed up one night outside of the hotel some time after TPOT 1, swordfought the deity Tidal Wave, and then vanished again. This was likely a fever dream, though.

POST TPOT AU: TAPE

They didn't get crushed in this AU! Yippee!

Lore: One of the things I did not like about TPOT 21 was Tape getting brutally assassinated, so I changed it. They do not get crushed, simply because they were retrieved by Salt Lamp a little before all the other failed debuters were recovered. They are eternally grateful towards Salt Lamp for this, even though Salt Lamp just wanted to have the gang back together and was not looking for some life debt BS.

Tape, after meeting Eight, decided to wrap some of VHSy's discarded reels around their ridge as a way to show their respect. VHSy seems to approve of this since they have quite the friendship with Tape and vice versa. The two get along very well, and are often found planning out new crafts and stuff based on the cult-which-isn't-really-a-cult.

So this is all the other object shows, aside from BFDI, that exist in the Post TPOT AU I made

Other various things in the AU: FloNow is an abandoned network channel and has been abandoned for a very long time. It's Time For The, and other shows on that network, should NOT be being broadcasted. Something's up with Flonow, something sketchy.

Airy was resurrected during the Rift's flare-up and was left in a monstrous state, unsure of the true events surrounding his death but convinced that one Liam Plecak was solely to blame for it.

MePhone4 gets complicated backstory stuff, Steve Cobs is probably still alive somewhere, and alternative universe versions of Steve Cobs and a few other characters spawn in on Inanimate Island during the fall of their own universe, with no clue how they got there.

HERR.IC's creators are revealed, as is a partial cure to the Simplification, by a strange scarf in a time-traveling blue police box.

Objectified was actually an existing comic series in Goiky as it was, identical to how it is in our universe, though nobody is quite sure where it came from since the bookstores have no recorded publisher for it. There are also some unreleased issues that can be found deep in the storage rooms by certain people, containing secrets of the universe (or so they say. In reality it's probably just other people's Objectified fanfictions).

Mushroom's strange powers might just stem from a deal with the world's loneliest number. But what, I wonder, was his gift to One in return for those powers? And do Don't and Nebula Void know who One is? This will get answered EVENTUALLY.

All of these will (eventually) be expanded upon, but in the mean time, you get to puzzle over how each of these object shows fit into this AU, with lore that I'm simply making up as I go along! Yippee!

POST TPOT AU: SNARE DRUM

She honestly still doesn't know why she died the way she did in TPOT 19

Lore: Snare Drum was one of the more reluctant failed debuters regarding Eight's cult thing. She only bought into it after Salt Lamp showed her their book about the Pillary Ruins pantheon, and even then she went with the bare minimum. She didn't repair her torn fabric at all, instead opting to plate herself with some of VHSy's remains. This, of course, means the other failed debuters tend to call her the "Low Effort One", since she put in minimal effort.

She and VHSy actually don't get along that well. They fight over things constantly, with VHSy often stealing Snare Drum's food and it spiraling from there. They and PDA are the only two failed debuters to not have a semi-positive relationship with Snare Drum.

POST TPOT AU: SCISSORS

Give Salt Lamp their tail back, bro

Lore: Scissors was one of the first failed debuters to buy into the whole cult thing upon meeting Eight, and they cut off Salt Lamp's tail because of this. However, what they didn't know was that Salt Lamp was still alive, and they only discovered this after being bashed against the wall three times for cutting the guy's tail off. They were lucky that the damage Liy did to them was 100% reversible, but Salt Lamp's wrath has left them unable to cut through things like plastic on their own.

I'd say they didn't deserve this but they kind of did because they didn't check if Salt Lamp was still alive or not, which they were.

POST TPOT AU: SAPPHIRE

Why is she melting? Blame Deadly

Lore: After Sapphire was left to die by Deadly (who would've saved her if Ice Cube didn't say that Deadly didn't know how to feel remorse... he does, and he kind of regrets abandoning Sapphire), she was promptly eliminated by the spirit possessing Snobal. The elimination zone was, after that, revealed to be the Darkest Side of the Moon, where dark energy vibrates and corrodes. Any who are recovered within the Darkest Side will forever have physical features resembling how they died. Sapphire dissolved in the blood of acid bugs, so she thus was left half-molten by the recovery process.

It was originally believed that this would be reversed when Snobal was exorcised, but unfortunately, this wasn't the case. Sapphire is stuck forever half-melty no matter what she tries. However, she doesn't blame Deadly at all. Actually, she probably forgot that he's partially the reason why she's like this, and, since she's distracted with hosting tea parties at weird times, she'll probably never realize.

POST TPOT AU: ONIGIRI

I put this child-coded creature through the meat grinder LOL

Lore: Onigiri was one of Liy's first victims, and despite not seeing the slaughter, they are one of the most traumatized of the failed debuters, unable to even be within five feet of Liy's general area without hiding in the closet with Marker. They refuse to go anywhere alone, and especially like to cling to Pillow (their crush), PDA (their parental figure), or ITRD (their other parental figure) when it comes to that stuff.

They don't fully understand what the cult is or what's going on, but they're happy to be included, even if they did have to run off with some of Tape's tape in order to patch themself up after Liy ripped them apart. Onigiri can be a bit hard to understand due to being mostly nonverbal, though they usually mean well and just want to make other people happy since that makes them happy too.

POST TPOT AU: SALT LAMP

The only survivor (other than Tape)

Lore: Salt Lamp, as it turns out, did not die from being yeeted into Snare Drum's body. They simply played dead until Liy left, then tracked down Price Tag's wireless recovery center remote and recovered all the other failed debuters. Of course, surviving does not mean they didn't get injured, oh no. The force at which they were flung left Salt Lamp with a large crack in their face, effectively rendering their eye mostly useless. Sometime later on, they lost their tail because of Scissors, so they bought a new wire and taped it to themself using some of Onigiri's seaweed wrapping, which they also used to patch up the crack in their head.

Salt Lamp is descended from the Ancient Yoyleans, which means they possess a book about all of the Pillary Ruins pantheon, including the mysteriously-missing Lunar Ray and the presumed-deceased (if they even existed, since there's not much evidence of their existence at all) Bright Light. They use this book to research the ancient myths and get a better understanding of just what the cult is worshipping.

Meet Traitor!

Lore and stuff: He claims to be an oracle. Is that true? No, of course it isn’t! His name alone should give that away, and even if that doesn’t, his sarcastic, rude, and blunt demeanor is quite the dead giveaway. Traitor is a notoriously unlucky d20 to roll, and yet he’s the most successful yet lazy scammer out there despite refusing to roll a number above 9 when others try to use him for his main purpose. People genuinely believe the things he makes up and will pay him obscene amounts to get their fortune read, or to buy a genuine fresh dinosaur tooth (it’s usually a crocodile or snake tooth). When he’s not being a scamlord, Traitor can typically be found drinking, eating, playing an RPG, or asleep. He is not an active person, he prefers to just go with the flow of life as long as the flow doesn’t involve manual labor. Unfortunately for him, a few of the others have figured out that if you attach food or wine to a fishing rod and then dangle it in front of him, he’ll do anything to get it. If there’s one thing Traitor loves more than money or being lazy, IT’S FOOD AND ALCOHOL! He apparently also considers dice as food, which can get weird.

Fun facts: All of the numbers on him are uniquely colored to have the colors of all the Algebraliens (up to Twenty, anyways). Based on how one of my blue d20s always gives me a bad roll when I need a good roll in an RPG. He was also inspired a bit by Grunkle Stan. Probably cyberbullies small children on Roblox when mad. Knows he's kind of an asshole, refuses to change for the better.

POST TPOT AU: THE PILLARY RUINS PANTHEON (well... the members willing to reveal themselves at this time, anyways)

^ It really misses the days when Pillary Ruins weren't so ruined.

^ He wants to be a deity so bad (he's an honorary member of the pantheon at this point) but darkness isn't a viable element in this universe

^ This is the biggest member of the pantheon (not counting Tidal Wave, since it can shapeshift)

^ Kind of hard to believe Firey and Firey Jr are related to this absolute beast

^ Wind doesn't actually have limbs, they just make them out of condensation

^ Tidal has my favorite design out of the Pillary Ruins pantheon next to Sweatshirt

POST TPOT AU: LEEK

Lore: All the other failed debuters are relatively sane about the cult stuff, but Leek went full phantom thief. They started robbing banks as a way to cope with the fact that, because of Liy, they have to wear a piece of Kitchen Sink's dented piping as a way to keep their upper stem from falling off. They also have to wear that pair of mask-like goggles just to be able to see things that are right in front of them properly thanks to the way in which they died.

Leek could basically be considered Kitchen Sink's caretaker. They refuse to leave his side unless he requests it, and they refuse to let anything happen to him. These two are most likely trauma-bonded for life. Heck, Leek will even occasionally steal Kitchen Sink's favorite drinks for him when they get the chance to!

POST TPOT AU: KITCHEN SINK

I feel so bad for him, he may've been a bit of a prick but he didn't deserve this.

Lore: Kitchen Sink... where do I start? After being violently shattered by Liy in TPOT 19 and subsequently recovered by Salt Lamp, he was left in a horrible state. Half of his face is missing, his internal pipes had to be fixed using pieces of Snare Drum's rim, and he can barely even move. He is also in constant pain, which worsens when he tries to walk. The only thing that can relieve this pain, other than giving him water to keep himself occupied with or feeding him painkillers, is by placing a piece of another object inside of the huge hole on his face.

Due to his pain being relieved with water, like Clip, he was given a specialized room by Two to best keep him docile, since he will lash out if he is left to suffer for too long and has even bitten X (leaving a scar somewhere on the cohost's back) during one of these periods. The only time Kitchen Sink will ever get up, other than during one of his lashing-outs, is to visit the other failed debuters, even if he's not too big on the whole "we're bringing back worshipping the Pillary Ruins pantheon because this tungsten number told us it would be fun" thing.

POST TPOT AU: INCOME TAX RETURN DOCUMENT

He doesn't need the IRS (though he may need PDA sometimes because they have his inhaler)... HE IS THE IRS!

Lore: Along with PDA, ITRD is believed to have been one of the lucky debuters, since he wasn't recovered with the giant gash in his belly that had been caused by Liy using Discy to slice through him. However, this is not the case. He was recovered like that, and had PDA fetch him a purple staff of some form from his room. He used it to fix himself, but at the cost of some of the papery flesh around one of his eyes. This left a permanent scar.

ITRD isn't actually involved with the cult, that's not how he got his staff. He actually acquired it while auditing someone because they were doing just about all they could to get him off of their back (they were tax evading, so they're lucky they didn't get sent to jail. Who was this? Probs Yellow Face). They eventually gave up and gave him this ancient, magic staff, which convinced him to let them off of the hook temporarily.

With this staff, fueled by elemental energy from the Pillary Ruins pantheon, ITRD can change gravity, heal himself, utilize all of the main elements, and even play the song known as Never Gonna Let You Down by famous 80s singer Rick Ashley. He doesn't use the staff much, namely due to the fact it wants to eat his flesh whenever he uses it, but he has it and will cheerfully use it on you if he must! Or if he's suffering from an asthma attack.
