Sooooo this was me.

I have been a Beatles fan for as long as I can remember. I was obsessed as a child and always have considered them my favorite band.

I like everyone else was excited to watch Get Back. What I was not expecting was to hyper-fixate like crazy on the Beatles like I haven’t done since probably sometime in the 90s. Then I saw one thing ONE THING about John/Paul. And I was like “no I can’t go there.” But obviously I went there. I took a peek into the hole and then completely fell in. My McLennon tin hat is firmly on now and will never be coming off.

And honestly it’s how I’m getting through this next crazy time of the pandemic 🙃

I’ve been lurking in the McLennon tag but wanted to say hi 👋🏼

The Orange

At lunchtime I bought a huge orange —

The size of it made us all laugh.

I peeled it and shared it with Robert and Dave —

They got quarters and I had a half.

And that orange, it made me so happy,

As ordinary things often do

Just lately. The shopping. A walk in the park.

This is peace and contentment. It’s new.

The rest of the day was quite easy.

I did all the jobs on my list

And enjoyed them and had some time over.
