Season 2 ending with the kids at the snowball and the adults outside sharing a cigarette. Kinda felt like this was how Joyce and Hopper were like in high school. Off in their own little world together. Both of them having more fun outside of the dance.

This is what I love about their relationship. That they both are so vulnerable with each other. They pass secrets back and forth like love letters. There is no one that they are so open with. Him comforting her and as a single parent him understanding what she's going through. And as a father who lost his daughter and then found himself again while saving her kid. 🥺

The nasty look on her face when she coughs and looks at him like duude why? The tiny smile on his face as she coughs up his nasty unfiltered cigarettes.

I love the tiny little hug. Where she leans into him and he puts his arm around her. 🥹 Then she holds his hand with her tiny little hand. And then he just strokes her arm with his tumb. Him hugging her to him and kissing her head.

Like many of their best scenes it is so utterly simple but they fill it with so much emotion.
