she wanders in a bit of a haze, squeezing her hands every now and then to remind herself of where she is… to not lose control. it’s been awhile, and as much as she doesn’t want to, she’ll have to give in at some point - she just needs to find someone who deserves it. even though they’re in front of her, she almost misses them, moving her hair out of her face and trying her best to smile. “yes - i am fine,” she nods, it a question she takes no offence to. even on better days, she always looks a little off… even if the more obvious things are hidden. “perhaps a little lost, but i will find my way. why do you ask?”

               head  tilts  on  an  angle  as  they  watch  her  intently,  trying  to  figure  out  what  the  missing  piece  is.   for  all  intents  she  appears  normal,  but  appearances  are  deceiving.   they  know  that  perhaps  better  than  anyone.   lukas  gives  a  small  smile  in  response,  even  though  it’s  nothing  more  than  lips  pressed  thin  and  a  small  quirk  at  the  corners.   they  go  to  speak  again  before  realising,  hesitation  slipping  in  and  they  raise  their  hands  instead,  making  a  basic  sign  to  inquire  if  she  knew  how  to  read  sign  language  as  well.   they  had  their  notebook  on  hand  as  a  backup,  but  the  sudden  realisation  that  she  expected  them  to  speak  made  their  cheeks  flush.
